At the very end of the announcement, it refers to IDW as the "previously licensed" publisher of D&D comics. I wonder if that means the IDW license will terminate when Dark Horse takes over or if both companies will be publishing D&D comics at the same time (which would be fine with me).

I agree! I almost wrote in my post that I also believe "Dragon" is in the title probably helped sales of this book and Horde of the Dragon Queen: Tyranny of Dragons.

I'm not at all surprised that "Dragon Heist" is near the top of the list. The article says that Amazon sales are included (except when Amazon refuses to disclose their figures) and "Dragon Heist" has been one of the cheapest D&D books (if not the cheapest) available on Amazon for long stretches...

It's nice to see the Great Kingdom and Rauxes restored. There's nothing I like better than a decayed (but still frighteningly powerful) empire that's ruled by a mad emperor.

Art & Arcana is a wonderful book with a lot of great old photos, many times better than Lore & Legends. I don't dislike Lore & legends, but it is a bit annoying that the book puts forward the idea that D&D had run its course and was dying of old age until 5e came along and breathed new life...

I'm not interested in seeing adaptations of the millions of Drizzt novels, so I hope that's not the route they're going. It would be much more interesting to see new, original stories with a different set of characters (although cameos are always welcome).

The Hell articles and Seapoint were great. In the days before "Dungeon" magazine, having a module appear in an issue of Dragon was always the highlight of the issue for me. Seapoint was a good adventure, but even the bad adventures could be modified and used.
