Pirate Borg -- any of you scurvy dogs have it?

I have to say I also find it nice that the page count for TitT got bumped to 60. While there's also a "too much" in terms of content for me, I think that's a nice size for a short campaign.

What videogames are you playing in 2025?

Have resumed playing this after a while and while the similarity issue persists, it is a little better now - there's some really nice vistas in the past and current chapter, and the talk between Chloe and Nadine also gets more interesting. Also, playing in sessions of just 1 or 2 hours probably...

    Our Physical Fitness

Yeah, I might need to do the same. Generally, a full home gym would be ideal for me, but with house prices skyrocketing in the past decade and even rents picking up notably, having a separate room for this seems questionable. And maybe a bit of training with resistance bands in the living room...

    Our Physical Fitness

I know nothing of this person (basically, my only English language sources for fitness content are Stronger by Science and sometimes Squat University), but the video itself seems solid (if a bit repetitive). It also aligns well with my personal experience - when I started training again mid 30s...

What Brought You to EN World Today?

That fits for me, too. Socializing is maybe a bit limited, since I don't post very actively, and threads tend to move quite fast over here. But I visit often enough that there's a couple of familiar faces/avatars by now whose posts I enjoy to read.

What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

The shadowy darkness has arrived: Also, I have backed the Alien Kickstarter (only at PDF level, though):

    D&D 5E (2014) Rate Your 5E Rules Expertise

Not sure, maybe 2. It's not like the 5e rules are super complicated, but it's been 2 years since I last played, and there's a fair chance that I have forgotten some of the less frequently invoked rules. Plus, there's also the element that I sometimes think something is in 5e, when it is actually...

    Outgunned Superheroes

As @overgeeked said, the games are relatively close. My personal impression is that while both are relatively light games, Broken Compass even more minimalist than OG:A - and I personally prefer it because of that. Both games are great, though. And regarding the supernatural stuff: that's...

    ALIEN RPG Launches New Kickstarter

On the one hand, I'm really looking forward to this revised edition. The new layout not only looks great, it also promises better readability than the old one with mostly black pages. And it's great that they not only bring it to the core book, but also to CMOM and BBW! Also, I think fine-tuning...

The One Ring & Lord of the Rings RPG New Starter Sets Announced

Interesting! I didn't expect a new starter set (the existing one seemed fine, though it feels a lot more light-hearted than the main game). I wonder what they are planning to put in content-wise.

EN World What you thought a thread title said.

Aforementioned thread, but somehow my brain wants to turn it into: GM fiat - an illusion.

    Our Physical Fitness

Can't really contribute anything meaningful here at the moment. But I'm glad you guys keep posting, because it's a good reminder that I really should re-start some workout routine (body is clearly signalling its dissatisfaction with the lack of physical exercise).

What Does Your Dream VTT Do/Look Like?

I'm starting to think in the same direction, though I think I would be willing to compromise in the automation department (having solid support up to the dice roll is fine for me, I don't need full result automation) if it improves the UX and keeps the overall complexity of the UI low. As an...

How and why do you solo play?

I have voted "Other" for the time being. I don't really do solo play of regular RPGs, but I do like game books like Lone Wolf, which are probably pretty close. Also, it doesn't really supplant regular RPG play in a group, but rather complements it from time to time.

For those doing TTRPG online, what are your reasons?

A mixture of things. I think the starting point was that I moved twice for the job after graduating from university, and that meant the end of my regular F2F D&D game (and also of the occasional second group that played other systems). And the people in my new surrounding were notably less nerdy...

    Million Dollar TTRPG Kickstarter Club

Still takes about 2 weeks, but I think with 18k people registered for launch notifications, there's a fair chance that the Alien Evolved Edition Kickstarter will cross the threshold.
