Pathfinder 1E Halfling Sling Master / Skirmisher build vs Spell-less ranger

I don't spend a lot of time comparing for optimization, but given the Warhammer conversion origin and expressed intent, I'd go Halflings Sling Master + Spell-less ranger. Skirmisher is good, but I think SL Ranger will meld better with HSM, especially with respect to stealth.

Pathfinder 1E [Frog God Games] Borderland Provinces Kickstarter Launched

Backed! I've been waiting for one like this for a while. I love FGG's adventures but I've always been intrigued by your world-building. Can't wait for this one! (Pathfinder all the way, baby!)

[UPDATED] WotC To Close Forums - Including D&D and M:tG (aka "Welcome New Forum Members to EN World!

You need to get out more. Paizo, Pinnacle Entertainment Group, Green Ronin, and Kobold Press are all regularly & frequently active in their forums. From what I recall Crafty Games, SJ Games and Fantasy Flight Games do so as well but I visit them less frequently so things may have changed.

Can anyone compare Realms Works and City of Brass for campaign management?

Conversely, RealmWorks is one of the best RPG purchases that I've ever made. My campaigns have a level of detail that I've always desired, it's easy to enter data, and most importantly, it's easy to find data, use the application, and enter new data while running sessions. I'm a OneNote fan as...

AMA (Thurs April 30): Wolfgang Baur (Kobold Press, TSR, DUNGEON Magazine, D&D 5E Tyranny of Dragons, Advanced Races Compendium)

One of the tenets of the Midgard setting is that it's a dark fantasy setting of deep magic - I hope that I got that right. How do you evoke dark fantasy and deep magic in your games? Why do you feel the distinction is important vs. traditional high fantasy? Finally, any chance of a Kobold's...

AMA (Thurs April 30): Wolfgang Baur (Kobold Press, TSR, DUNGEON Magazine, D&D 5E Tyranny of Dragons, Advanced Races Compendium)

Hi, Wolfgang. I hope you’re doing well. Setting aside the obvious choice of Zobeck, what area of the Midgard Campaign Setting is your favorite? What part of the Southlands is your favorite? (If you can say.) I don’t mean to ask you to pick a favorite amongst your children but I’m curious...

Skills & Feats From PATHFINDER UNCHAINED

Can't argue with that at all, sadly.

Skills & Feats From PATHFINDER UNCHAINED

This book was never for you then. A-it's a new hardcover, so it's a whole book of additional content. B-it's a book about options for various subsystems. Armor as DR & defense were done in Ultimate Combat. The whole premise of this book is "unchained" - new options, in some cases radically...

My Science-Fiction RPG 2014/2015 Appreciation Thread

Closing Thoughts & Thanks: Much is argued about RPG rules sets, publisher woes, the state of the hobby, etc. Too many people are trying to “win” and there are too few threads that talk about actual game experiences, IMO. I wish anyone publishing RPG content a prosperous 2015 & beyond, but I...

Conveying the Setting/RPG Aids Future Armada & Armada Codex (0 hr: Art & Technology) Hands-down, these products are the most fantastic starship resources available for RPGs. Largely system-neutral (early entries in the series had d20 Future stats), these products include detailed deckplans...

My Science-Fiction RPG 2014/2015 Appreciation Thread

Framework: While I wanted to run a science fiction campaign, I had no idea how my players would receive it and if it would be something that would survive beyond a session or two. Given that, the trial session was designed to introduce the rules system and the first “real” session was...

My Science-Fiction RPG 2014/2015 Appreciation Thread

This was a voyage of a RPG Gamemaster, whose imagination was ignited almost 30 years ago by the promise of exploring new worlds, of encountering strange aliens, and by the promise of adventure in the vastness of space by a collection of artifacts bearing the name “Star Frontiers”. His initial...

Pathfinder 1E Version 10.11 of the Pathfinder files for Hero Lab is now available!

No, it's not. Neither hopelessly nor otherwise. For me, it's an invaluable tool that has proven to be a tremendous value for its cost.

Roll20 publishes Game Percentages... Pathfinder at 25%

@ Morrus: I guess my question stems from a "what if I reverse things?" viewpoint. I think that if the data were flipped, there'd be a flurry of folks (including Umbram) that would immediately underscore how isolated/tangential/false conclusions such claims would be. In other words, the site...

Roll20 publishes Game Percentages... Pathfinder at 25%

Sincere question: Then why do it? It assumes a static progression and as you say, is "nonsense". I don't see the point, especially given the Site's anti-edition-war stated stance. That aside, given the treatment 5e gets (is the 5th D&D iteration of a monster really "news"?) it's not...

Pathfinder 1E which setting do you use in your pathfinder games?

Golarion is a great setting and has been my Pathfinder go-to since Rise of the Runlelords #1. It scratches most of my desired Greyhawk vibe. As with most published settings, however, there are some parts that I'm less fond of. About three months ago, however, my two primary campaigns have...

Pathfinder 1E Campaign arcs in Pathfinder Modules

I wish that there were, but these are the only three that directly lead from one to another. That said, their new format for the module line, is basically a campaign arc in a single book (larger volume).
