    Are Gognards killing D&D?

I do apologize already that my post is unduly harsh. At the same rate, i am irritated beyond reason by what I read, and I should know better. To be honest no. I will stand by my opinions. If 4e is good so much the better for you all. I don't see why you should not be enjoying it, if it is true...

    Are Gognards killing D&D?

One of the messages I keep reading is buy 4e or D&D dies. Why the heck should I care ? I bought every single WOTC rules book until the announcement. PLUS about 95% D20 paper-printed books. Who else has helped these companies survived this much ? Me and a few other "old" people. Because, if...

Actually, if you looked carefully enough, he already was one as early as 1e. Guess where this was written ? ahh... people never learn.

    One setting per year?

Yeah sure, and it was interesting too, but you know we don't necessarily have the time to go back and re-read all the old threads and resurrect them. It allows those who may have missed them to take part in the discussion. For the setting search, I think the second was published : was it not...

    One setting per year?

Yes, quite true; my post was a bit short, and i meant to say eurocentrism was not the only problem at the time. Splitting is not either : you may split the market, yes maybe. There was another flaw in this strategy : they were not able to support the settings adequately enough. There were...

    D&D 4E Concealment in 4e

Yes. I agree this is bad. it looks like a last-minute plug to the rules system. I have the following solution for 3.x : 5% = 1 on 20. Raise AC by 1 for every 5%... when that would apply to to the relative positions of both combattants.

    One setting per year?

Hello Mourn we meet again. I can't really agree with you here, as Spelljammer, Planescape and especially ... Al-Qadim ... are not very eurocentric This also made for a lot of boring books I am now ashamed of owning in light of (...) while I still cherish my old setting books. Yes, here I...

    One setting per year?

Which is exactly fine. That's the point of a setting. If you don't dig it, don't buy it. not every book has to sell at the same numbers to be a success. After all, not all magazines sell with the same print rate, so why not ? of course, it may mean that the price of the setting may have to go...

    Green Ronin's Trojan War Setting

I have not yet read Trojan war, as i have a huge backlog. However, if you want an ancient greek campaign, you may also want to check S&S "Relics and rituals : olympus" as well as mongoose's "OGL's Ancients" for different takes.

    What's happening to the bard?

    D&D 4E 4e - Too much change?

Yes, your point is valid for the rules aspect. But at the time, there was fairly little background written, and it did not change (much).

    Give me choices!

The bards in our team wholly endorse and support bard song. And they certainly are not the ones having less fun.

Why WOTC shouldn't have gotten rid of the Dungeon and Dragon magazine

Not necessarily : you can have the same authors working under another editorial line, or no line, and get a wildly different result. What I fail to understand, is why "print on demand" was not considered. it would have helped. Anyhow : Death to the DI ! Never a cent for the ugly green brain.
