I will make a subclass of Artificer called the Constructor where you can put infusions inside your Golems.

I have made some updates to the class. Please take a look. Updated: The Constructor is now able to create Obelisks that help them in battle. Edit: The PC is now able to ride inside the Golem.

That is another reason why I don’t want to add Artificer infusions. Not only does it get rid of the Constructor class by itself, but it could potentially make it too powerful.

Only one Golem is able to be constructed at a time. The original design was to focus on the Golem the Constructor creates.

Good point. Hmm…maybe I will need to include an Obelisk to construct that includes the different subclasses. And have the Golem types as certain structures that the class can build overtime. The magic brings tons of options to the class it will be kept.

All classes follow a theme. These themes help bring intrigue and creativity to the player making their characters. The Ranger is no more needed than the Cleric or Rogue is.

Armored Core is not what I had in mind. The Core would be the heart of the Golem that can be upgraded as time goes on, but each subclass focuses on the Golem type that is being made. The homebrew I am referring to is called the Golem Mancer class and it can be found on Dungeon Masters Guild...

My custom Campaign was nearing its end and just needed one final session to be completed. Eventually the only one left playing was the Sorcerer/Cleric multi class player and he was able to convince the demons and dragons from waging war on the entire continent of Xrelon.

That seems interesting. Maybe have a core system that gets upgraded as the levels increase. Though I don’t want to make a copy of an already existing home brew.

I only let players roll for stats if they so wish and if they roll bad they can use Standard Point Array or Point Buy.

Would adding a construct like say an Obelisk with varying effects like buffing and debuffing add more to the class?

Artificer subclass makes sense but I am trying to build this as a different class. Maybe adding Golem invocations would help set it apart.
