D&D 5E (2024) Sorcerers getting Chaos Bolt automatically

It is but to me a shadow sorcerers should be able to do it for necromancy for free, a storm sorcerer for lightning, a dragon for their breath weapon type, aberrant psychic, and wild a random roll to determine type. As it is you can spend your points to change the damage but you will quickly run...

    D&D 5E (2024) (+) Hopes for The Monk

So in my head the monk is an unarmed master but it is your martial class that can do all of the quasi magical stuff as well as you multi attack master. I want the barbarian to be able to punch someone if they want to and it be feasible. In the other hand I want the monk to be making 4+ attacks...

D&D 5E (2024) Sorcerers getting Chaos Bolt automatically

Only as hard as multi classing a warlock. The problem is that I don't think they will be adding any new spells. I took would prefer just more new thematic spells but for me this is a compromise. I compleatly agree that blast spells need more thematic effects it is one of the things I love...

D&D 5E (2024) Sorcerers getting Chaos Bolt automatically

The three things I would like to see from a sorcerer are 1: spell points instead of slots. This would give them a mechanical uniqueness l. 2: An easy way to change damage type to one that feels appropriate for your subclass 3: Limited spells known but the ability to cast any spell available to...

    D&D 5E (2024) (+) Hopes for The Monk

Oh yeah the MAD is already maddening. They could do it as a barbarian subclass and that would work but they have been so protective of keeping all unarmed except for the bare basics in the monks domain. Give me a drunken dwarf brawler or a grappler as an option. It is why I like Stirling...

D&D 5E (2024) New One D&D Weapons Table Shows 'Mastery' Traits

Lowering speed is a blessing in long ranged weapons but not that useful in melee unless they are trying to escape. Knocking prone to get your second attack with advantage in melee is wonderful. While you can shove someone using unarmed strike it takes one of your attacks to do so or a bonus...

D&D 5E (2024) New One D&D Weapons Table Shows 'Mastery' Traits

I don't mind the concept of weapon masteries and until we actually get to see the play test I don't want to jump the gun. 1: I think that if nick was make an extra offhand attack as a bonus action and they keep the light property the same as the other play test then I will be happy with that...

    D&D 5E (2024) (+) Hopes for The Monk

1: Agree 2: I personal hate stunning strike because it is a boring option that is far to good to not do. 3: If ki reset when you rolled initiative then once you get to level 5 or 6 it is ok. Personally I would love to see a regeneration as a bonus action equal to your prof bonus. 4: If you...

D&D 5E (2024) Sorcerers getting Chaos Bolt automatically

The fact that sorcerers would be getting chaos bolt as a lvl 1 ability was in the recent conference last week. They did not mention more about the ability, or if the spell was changing just that it will help to give the sorcerer class a core identity. In a week or two when the next play test is...

Level Up (A5E) Which D&D or Pathfinder races would you like to see made into an A5e heritage?

Is there a page 2 with the paragon gifts as well as a spring and fall gift?

3PP Release New 3PP Release: Manual of Adventurous Resources: Battlemages!

I agree that they should be a 1/3 maneuver progression and that maybe gaining access to 4th level maneuvers is to much for an arcetype to grant but I that pbx2 is the best way of handling exertion.

3PP Release New 3PP Release: Manual of Adventurous Resources: Battlemages!

The problem with the paladin/warlock was smite with a warlocks spells that refreshed on a short rest. Since the smite mechanic no longer works like that it is not a problem. Every spell casting class he made in the book grants you prof bonus x2 exertion points instead of the herald mechanics of...

3PP Release New 3PP Release: Manual of Adventurous Resources: Battlemages!

Given how Warlock and there spell points work if you make the change you are suggesting then they can use more maneuvers more often than a fighter or Adept which is wrong. Also remember that taking the feat to gain amnuvwrs or any class that gives you maneuvers gives you the exertion pool so it...

3PP Release New 3PP Release: Manual of Adventurous Resources: Elements!

Now I have bought all of your other PDFs because I want to support content creators like you, Josh, and Rachel (except for Harpies need to remember to buy that.) But I still prefer larger supplements

3PP Release New 3PP Release: Manual of Adventurous Resources: Elements!

I knew that there was no chance of either of the two of you stoping producing content. For me personally I much prefer journal sized releases like this or larger releases while I know that so far the two of you generally make individual releases. I enjoy the thematic approach you have taken...

3PP Release New 3PP Release: Manual of Adventurous Resources: Elements!

This is tied with Battlemages for my favorite MoAR. It does sadden me since I remember hearing that this is also your last MoAR. For me the stand out piece in this book has to be the Merfolk heritage hands down, in fact I think this has to be my favorite heritage in A5E to date. Berserker...

Level Up (A5E) Flumphs, Faerie Dragons, and Familiars

Faerie Dragons should be perfectly suitable if you loos the interest spellcasting, even at age 5 the three extra cantrips avaliable to you is too powerful but everything else is perfectly fine.

Level Up (A5E) Flumphs, Faerie Dragons, and Familiars

The biggest difference between a small and a tiny creature seems to be that tiny creatures use d4 for their hit dice so you should be able to quickly change a mephit or a other small creature to a tiny one for a familiar.
