I've always been uninterested in competition. Not caring about the need to win or lose is a large part of the attraction to RPG's for me. Roleplaying my character is the fun part for me.

I find a lot of players (especially new players learning the game) don't want to run multiple characters. And those that do struggle to get into character. This seems like an OK option for those peeps. Interesting that they're highlighting appropriate adventures for solo players, I wonder if...

For the record, 'The Long Walk' was a Richard Bachman novel. In case I've piqued anyone's interest and you're not finding it searching 'Stephen King'. Getting back to The Running Man, I think a modern adaptation could be interesting, although it might feel more like a documentary these days.

I only read the book a few years back, so I'm very interested to see how they adapt it. The trailer looked disturbingly accurate to the book.

Darksun would have to change if it was released for 5E. And I don’t mean content wise. I mean, it would need to be compatible with the rest of the rules, not a stand alone system like it was in 2E, with ability scores going to 24.

I just keep picturing the intensity of films like Prisoners and Sicario applied to the more gritty realism of a the Craig era Bond films, and I think it’ll work really well. I guess we still need to see who gets cast as Bond.

Loved the title cards on each episode. I liked the first 3 eps, keen to see the second half of the series next week. It’s nice to see Alden Ehrenreich again. Also, Eric Andre, lol.

I watched it over the weekend. It's pretty bonkers, but I really enjoyed it.

Excellent series, I binged it a couple of weeks ago. Have been recommending it to anybody that likes UK crime drama.

Like I say, I'll probably never know as I avoid anything that MacFarlane is involved in. Maybe if I ever see anybody say anything good about the show that isn't just a dig at Star Trek I might check it out. But that's never happened. Apologies to have taken the thread on a bit of a tangent...

Hey @Snarf Zagyg just wondering if you'd seen The Phoenician Scheme yet, and where you'd rank it? Without going into spoilers, Michael Cera is as perfect a fit for a Wes Anderson as you would expect.

My first exposure to The Orville was coming across it while channel surfing. I think within 3 mins there was a joke about glory holes. Other than that it felt like a blatant Next Gen rip-off. I'll take an ambitious and original idea like Discovery over that every day of the week.

I think he's only a producer, but anything with Seth Macfarlane's name attached is an auto-skip for me.
