    D&D 5E (2014) Lets Rank the 5e Skills!

It can be useful in combat too. Yesterday, my bard used it to save a TPK. I could have used Perception instead and been this guy: http://southpark.cc.com/clips/360430/captain-hindsight

    D&D 5E (2014) Running away...

Especially the halfling. If the opponent is at least M, he can disengage and mosey on through.

    D&D 5E (2014) Favored Soul: Overpowered?

Extra Attack is horrible. I'm going dragon sorcerer 17/warlock 2/cleric 1.

    D&D 5E (2014) Ability cap of 20?

Per the DMG, at ECL 20, the DM can give PCs an epic boon for every 30,000 XP they earn above 355,000 XP. Or, in place of an epic boon, he can let them choose a feat or ability score improvement. "The ability score can now be increased above 20, up to a maximum of 30."

    D&D 5E (2014) So.... hide?

I think that's where Skulker or the wood elf ability come in. "...if you come out of hiding and approach a creature, it usually sees you." If you are a wood elf or a Skulker in that picture, you haven't "come out of hiding" yet.

    D&D 5E (2014) So.... hide?

So assuming no distraction, you usually can't stay hidden if you approach the target. This states that you can hide and still attack (while hidden). Most players who hide and don't have the wood elf ability, Skulker, etc., would be using cover to hide. So one could assume this passage includes...

    D&D 5E (2014) So.... hide?

Once in the box, Bill could have slipped down the trap door underneath the box or teleported away. He's not necessarily still there. Taking away Bill's advantage is easy if feats are allowed. Just take Alert.

    D&D 5E (2014) So.... hide?

Per common sense, no magic shenanigans either, with all that hand waving and shouting. DM's call to allow a rabbit to be pulled from a hat, but that's it.

    D&D 5E (2014) So.... hide?

No issue as you've already nerfed it.

    D&D 5E (2014) So.... hide?

You would need to nerf Skulker too since it gives you both the halfling ability and the wood elf ability and then some.

    Venting on Sorcerer build

I have a halfling sorcerer. He has a dagger but hopes to never use it! His favorite tactic is shooting Fire Bolt and moving back 25 feet. He just hit level 2 and his level 1 adventuring combat-wise was hit and miss, mostly miss. His 2nd and 3rd levels will be warlock, so I'm hoping he'll...

    Venting on Sorcerer build

It's an insult to the class if you give them better weapons, armor, hit die, etc. than the wizard gets. It's the wizard that needs more spells and a little book.

Beginning at 6th level, draconic bloodline (fire) sorcerers do.

D&D 5E (2014) Do you feel like the "Sorcerer" is really lacking in options?

I've only looked it at through blasting eyes. :) But as they have the wizard's spell list minus X and know less spells, I would think it has too little if it's trying to do wizard stuff.

D&D 5E (2014) Do you feel like the "Sorcerer" is really lacking in options?

Agreed. At least the draconic bloodline is decent mechanically. It works for me, but I'm okay with just blasting. In PF, I had to go wizard over sorcerer and a lot of that had to do with the divination wizard's goodies vs. any of the sorcerer bloodlines' goodies (which all seemed pretty lame...
