    Sex and Sexuality in D&D. . .

Why is that? I'm sorry. That's a bad response. It sounds like a first grader being irritating. But I can't come up with much else that wouldn't dive right into religion or politics. Guess that's it for me here. I do appreciate that you were willing to respond, though.

    Sex and Sexuality in D&D. . .

Why? I have trouble seeing how the amount of consensual sex one has is of any moral dimension whatsoever. Furthermore, your definition of the sexual good is self-refuting. If chastity is good, and you mean by it electing not to have sex, then it is the opposite of fecundity, which does involve...

    That's beautiful, Arkhandus. Thanks!

    Sex and Sexuality in D&D. . .

Those bodies of moral teaching do not exist in my games, even when monotheisms do. So their opinions on the matter are moot to my homebrew. My games are often heavily informed by real-world history, but they are not recreations thereof. This is both a personal preference of mine (I am an...

Help me with a swordsage assassin build

Background text follows, providing fun but not mandatory context for my designing needs. The party are running Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. I made the dwarves in the town by the big dungeon into the last survivors of the time when it was dwarf-held. When the party started making...

Generation Legacy the Next Generation of OOC

No, it's ok. We just usually ask first in the US. ;)

    He's chronic; that's why he's Evil Toki.

Generation Legacy the Next Generation of OOC

It's been more than that before. As long as we still love Viking priestesses, ninja girls from the future, androgynous boy-girls in speedoes, androids, androgynous elf-boys from other dimensions, and tolerate irritating purple guys doomed to die, Toki shall return.

    Modernist and Postmodernist RPGs?

I was. I almost said idealism instead, but since the context was historical exemplars I figured referring to Plato and his Forms directly more pertinent.

    Modernist and Postmodernist RPGs?

    That's Platonism.

    Crunch or Fluff Changes

Fluff-wise, I loathe the assumed setting. Powerfully. I find isolated frontier regions strangling. I dislike the changes to elves, but less powerfully. These are things that I can hopefully avoid with minimal effort. D&D's default setting fluff is usually a trivial effort to ignore in itself...

    On Fantasy Names (Resurrected Rant)

I'll just gargle and expectorate on them, then show them a printout. They will then praise my commitment to my linguistic principles as they hook my underwear to a line and hoist me up a convenient flagpole. I love those guys.

    Tome of Battle--Setting Sun throws?

If the square straight above it is unoccupied, why not? It's not as much fun as pitching a guy off the rope bridge into the river of molten rock in which several pit fiends are frolicking innocently below, but sometimes pit fiends deserve their frolics and shouldn't be interrupted.

D&D 4E Killing Time Before 4e Comes Out

Despite loving your story hour with all its dripping 1e setting elements, no. I stopped playing D&D years before d20 hit, and I have no desire to return to what was before. I was just looking at a 2e rulebook a few nights ago in search of some demographics information and in the process of...

    Tome of Battle--Setting Sun throws?

With one of them (Ballista Throw, I think) even that doesn't matter. You can lob a kobold at the hovering wizard. It'll bounce off AND fall into the ravine.

    On Fantasy Names (Resurrected Rant)

This thread has inspired me to name a PC Faeyr'eor'szti'iyr. It's still mising something, though. Could someone recommend several diacritics?
