I'd even take this higher level. Can the thread even agree upon the 'trends'?

I'm not mad about loose definitions. I reject the value of 'definitions' which are not going to be agreed upon on this or any other RPG site other than MAYBE the one that declares said definitions, in regards to improving the quality of discussion. They are pointless.

Absolutely. It does not. Its out there already, we do not need Wizards, and certainly not Hasbro.

Everything about modern discourse, especially online, is screaming at you otherwise. We can no longer agree on what labels, definitions, even mean. Instead, discuss what you like to see instead of applying a label and assuming people are just going to run with your definition and accept it...

Of course its workable. 1. "I'm a gamist." 2. "Well what does that even mean." 3. "It means ....." Open with 3 instead, and you cut out 1 and 2. Even better, you cut out the pedantry and faux intellectualism that has no place in Elf Game discussion anyway, because in the above example you...

Yeah I think you had mentioned that during the design session, I think its a cool idea as the Reaction is not design space used much so far from most I've seen.

Yeah, discuss what you like, the motivations behind it, without appealing to a label which is just another thing people argue about like in that thread over yonder.

No, thats absolutely false, and I flat out reject that its needed in any way. That abomination of a thread sure doesnt seem to reflect how 'labels' aid in communication at all here.

I think if it had something like Mount See Page XX. Your mount has +4 STR. It would for sure feel a lot less 'central' to the class. As it is, its not really that integral, it just has that perception due to page space.

Yes, as I mentioned, depending on how you run your games, set your expectations, and so on. Or one can contemplate the delightful interaction of a light crossbow and nick, or the joy of one level dips and feats and spells until the end of days. Either way.
