    Bracers

From the Magic Item Compendium. If I read this correctly, it's Higher Priced Item + (Lower Priced Item X 1.5) = Total Cost of New Item. If you already have Bracers of Armor +3, the cost of adding Bracers of Murder would be (12,000 gp or 6,000 to craft).

    D&D 5E (2014) The cost of D&D 5E (it ain't so bad!)

If I bought physical copies of books anymore, I wouldn't really hesitate with the price. It seems well in line with the middle class American income. I'm more curious as to what a digital offering would look like, if there is one. I would probably scoff at $150 for the three copies of the books...

Pathfinder 1E So what do you think is wrong with Pathfinder? Post your problems and we will fix it.

Decently. Although it wasn't as powerful as a standard cleric. I wanted to see what I could do with channeling as a primarily class ability (spells being secondary in this case). I think I ended up reducing the casting a bit more than the presented class, added more free channeling bonus feats...

Pathfinder 1E So what do you think is wrong with Pathfinder? Post your problems and we will fix it.

Yes. I used it as a base to create a Channeling Specialist class.

    The Niche Protection Poll

Using 3x as a base, you can spread "healing" around, but the means and ability of that healing would differ based on class. Here's an example. Cleric - Cure line of spells (fast and powerful) Druid - Vigor line of spells (slow and powerful) Paladin - Lay on hands ability (fast and weak) Bard -...

Pathfinder 1E So what do you think is wrong with Pathfinder? Post your problems and we will fix it.

Yes on the niche protection. It's either one way or the other for me. Since the game uses classes, might as well make them more meaningful. But I'm also find with no classes and every things open. Ideally the cleric would be more focused based on domains, etc. I haven't had the time to do it...

Pathfinder 1E So what do you think is wrong with Pathfinder? Post your problems and we will fix it.

Urban Ranger is probably the best overall class for that AP. I played a Gnome Illusionist in that campaign and didn't feel particularly over powered at all (although toppling spell is a good metamagic feat for the AP). I wasn't thrilled with the AP overall though and felt it was pretty weak. I...

Perhaps Favored Soul/Storm Lord might make an appropriate Emperor

D&D 5E (2014) Magic Item Creation: Which book should contain rules for magic item creation?

I would agree with that. I'm constantly reminding players of various effects they can deploy based on magical items they have in their possession. They usually do fine with character abilities, spells, etc, but because magical items tend to be added on to their character advancement rather than...

D&D 5E (2014) Magic Item Creation: Which book should contain rules for magic item creation?

I find these two methods work the best. Either limit it to the point of it being non-existent (which it sounds like more of what you do) or going overboard to the point of it being simply an aspect of character advancement (which is more of what I do). Both methods, I think, work well. And I...

D&D 5E (2014) Magic Item Creation: Which book should contain rules for magic item creation?

Even back in 1e I used magic items for character customization. I have always been inspired and continue to build characters around magic items. Limiting their access would only stifle my creativity. While I dislike the rules themselves for PF item creation, I take the opposite approach and...

D&D 5E (2014) Magic Item Creation: Which book should contain rules for magic item creation?

My paycheck is not a reward. It's a contractual agreement between two parties. A reward would be more similar to an end of the year bonus or some such thing. Unexpected but appreciated, with no obligation on the part of the employer to provide it. Adventurers do not have a contractual...

    Dungeons?

Normally about 25% in an average game. I'm going to run an AD&D dungeon crawl in a week or so though and that will be 99% dungeon.

D&D 5E (2014) Would a repeat of the large errata from the previous edition put you off of Next?

3e was horrible in the readability department. Small text and horrible lined background image.

D&D 5E (2014) Can mundane classes have a resource which powers abilities?

Each round a player gets 3 actions (Swift/Minor/Immediate, Move, Standard) in which to perform actions. Each action is a resource that is expended (you don't get it back until the next round). When a player has exhausted all their actions their turn is completed. So yes, actions are a resource...

If you were paid to be a GM

A game store I used to frequent would pay a DM $5 in store credit for each game they ran at the store. They gave you $20 at the end of the first 4 weeks and then $5 a week after that for as long as you ran the game. You couldn't make a living at it, but it could buy you a book every couple of...

    D&D 5E (2014) Replacing Damage-On-A-Miss

Roll 2d20 If High Hits - Strength Damage Only If Low Hits - Normal Damage If Both Miss - No damage

D&D 5E (2014) Now that "damage on a miss" is most likely out of the picture, are you happy?

At least if I want DOAM I can still play Pathfinder.

If you were paid to be a GM

I've seen jobs posted for DMs, usually at youth centers and special facilities. The pay is always minimum wage.
