Proposal : Modifying the requirement for a 2nd Character

Yes, it's been done. That's how the Closed Eye crew levelled and it felt perfectly appropriate. I agree that levelling up during an extended rest is more common, but by no means is it the only way - nor should it be. If the DM and group thinks it makes a more fitting and enjoyable game to level...

    The Upcoming Adventures thread

Rhole is still around and up for adventure. I would have played him up again in the Tavern, but studies and research have been pretty time-consuming lately. He's a bard gnome, so he could fill any leader demand.

I wouldn't mind looking into saving Ring of the Fey Lord, if need be. I was one of the judges who originally approved the adventure so I know the basic premise, and have been following latest development in place of Lord Sessadore while he was on honeymoon.

The Closed Eye, part II (DM: covaithe, Judge: garyh)

In light of that… Well, out-of-character I can’t deny that we could really use the resources needed for Tander’s resurrection, considering how we’re nearly getting wiped out on a regular basis (and which has just been partially accomplished). However, regardless of whether Tander turns NPC, a...

The Closed Eye, part II (DM: covaithe, Judge: garyh)

Spectral images of laughing elves replace the motes in Woe’s mind, and the warrior spits curses their way as they assault him. His perception of reality gradually turns even more muddy, with visions of burning farm houses and hailstorms of arrows appearing all around him. “I won’t let you take...

The Closed Eye, part II (DM: covaithe, Judge: garyh)

Somewhere deep inside Woe, something that has grown progressively more fragile snaps like a twig in a storm. His left hand goes numb with pain and clenches in a death-grip around the shield handle. “Oh no,” he whispers in disbelief. “Tan-Man?” “No, no, no. It’s all happening again.” The two...

Its always nice when DMs employ PC backgrounds in their game, as in the case of allowing them a chance to "fulfill" a Hook/Kicker/Whathaveyou. However, I don't see a fair way to connect this with the DM credit system. Here's a few off-hand reasons why: A hook/kicker does not necessarily...

The Closed Eye, part II (DM: covaithe, Judge: garyh)

“This isn’t over, Tusky!” Woe shouts after the running half-orc. “I ain’t done with you yet!” Snarling, he points two fingers to his eyes and then turns them towards Goldtusk in the distance. Somehow it also seems as if Woe’s smiling shield is giving a similar look of disapproval. “When I come...

I'll have you know, Woe is actually conflicted. :D

“Technically we’re both omnivores, Tusks-for-Brains. Frankly, I’m surprised you even know which end to eat with.” “Tander? You guys alright? I don’t hear no senseless ranting or see any joyful globes of fire…” Realization sinks in and Woe’s damaged hand spasms wildly with excruciating pain. He...

The Closed Eye, part II (DM: covaithe, Judge: garyh)

Since we're on the subject and since the specters are long-dead gone, what exactly were they? I get now how the motes can attack and turn invisible on the same turn, but I'm still puzzled by how the specters did it.

The Closed Eye, part II (DM: covaithe, Judge: garyh)

“Don’t despair, Tander!” Woe shouts back. “The fact that our efforts have proven ineffective against those floating orbs is the reason why some of us have - and all of us should - withdraw from them for now!” “As to these half-orc bodyguards, they have… You see… Hmm… Oh! … These bodyguards have...

Crap, that means Goldtusk has an AC of at least 20 and I wasted Woe's action point. Seems like that other orc is just a single hit away from croaking, so we should still be able to prevent Arnest's corpse from getting away. Again, I'm amazed at how we keep ending up closer and closer to certain...

Proposal - EN World downtime does not count towards 48 h proposal deadlines

Sounds fine. Hopefully this issue will be very rare anyway, if the servers keep working the way they do. I have yet to experience any slowdowns or crashes since EN World was fixed by that pro. :)

“Wait, what? Business before pleasure, dammit!” “Gah!” Startled by the bright ray that streaks past just inches from his shoulder, Woe ducks and raises his shield. “Watch the hair! And everything else, too!” “Holy milk-dispensers*, our cannon fodder is getting away! I’ll be right back...

Hmm, how about filling in everything but powers then? At least, I was thinking it should be possible to make an option where you only type in abilities once on your sheet, and then they're applied to defenses, health, skills, senses and initiative. Like one big combined template or something...

Here's an idea: Is there some way to set things up on the wiki, so that you can make a PC with the Character Builder, copy the text summary to the wiki, and templates are automatically filled in as based on the info in the CB text?

    L4W Discussion Thread III

Welcome to the gang, Otakkun! As Joe said, you're technically free to do your sheet however you want. We just encourage the use of templates because they do the math automatically - that way the judges who review your sheet don't have to check calculations, so we'll probably get to it faster...
