    Best race for a bard?

    DR Evil .vs. Evil Characters

Sure, fiends can wield good-aligned weapons, but how common would that be in the Blood War? Not very, I'd say.

    Best race for a bard?

I second this. Additionally, what world are you playing in? If FR, star elf is a good choice.

    Epic two-weapon fighting

Doesn't the tempest PrC from Complete Adventurer remove the -2 penalties? Pretty sure it doesn't grant a 4th off-hand attack, though.

    Shadowswyft questions

Splurch, If you have access to FR's Underdark book, there's a shadow-themed PC race in it called gloaming. They're like tieflings (native outsiders), & are small-size with dark moth wings, IIRC. +1 LA.

    Insight bonuses

(IIRC...) Swashbuckler gets its Int bonus as a damage bonus to light & finessable weapons, but it's not an insight bonus. Champion of Corellon (Races of the Wild) gets a similar ability, but the Dex bonus is applied. The Shadow Blade feat in Tome of Battle is similar to this, but applies the...

    Shifter Druid/Moonspeaker Help plz

Agreed there. Especially at lower levels. When you do get a bit higher, you'll start having the luxury of being able to memorize some non-cure spells. ;)

    Inherent Bonuses

My group (currently) allows different books' bonuses to stack, to a maximum +5 total inherent bonus. Prices aren't changed, so the books still don't make an appearance at low levels in our games.

    D&D 3.x ToB: Bo9S - Nifft's Compendium

(My apologies for not responding until now. Real world was intruding on free time.) Okay. :) I understand your reasoning, I just don't agree. True, but my point was/is that one way that the Summon Shadow stance can end (dead shadow-buddy), has no precedent in official stances. Every other stance...

    D&D 3.x ToB: Bo9S - Nifft's Compendium

I could see it as either a Boost or a Strike. There are some manuevers with lasting effects. Salamander Charge (page 55) is the most blatant. Distracting Ember is a precedent for making an independent thingy; & it's only a 1st level maneuver so the duration fits. Make Summon Shadow a 7th level...

    Lycanthrope gestalt campaign

    Alrighty, was just curious. Thanks.

    D&D 3.x ToB: Bo9S - Nifft's Compendium

You're quite welcome. Expending a readied maneuver is a cost. No argument here. (Just a general dislike for the existing mechanic. ;)) The martial shadowdancer's Summon Shadow stance can be broken by something that doesn't directly affect the character, i.e. the shadow being destroyed. The...

    Lycanthrope gestalt campaign

Corbert, With using the gestalt rules, what does a character level-up in once the were-side is finished?

    D&D 3.x ToB: Bo9S - Nifft's Compendium

Looks neat. I like how you tied in the normal shadow dancer's class abilities with Shadow Hand maneuvers & stances. The only thing I dislike is the limited use of a shadow sidekick. It doesn't jibe (to me) with how stances usually operate & the benefits they give. What about instead making a new...

    Bo9S

The latest Dragon (April's #354) also says nay to prepping the same maneuver more than once, in Sage Advice.

    D&D 3.x ToB: Bo9S - Nifft's Compendium

That's a good choice. Unfortunately, while I really like the general flavor of the new schools & their abilities, I'm not that well-versed in the maneuver system itself (just got the book a few weeks ago, & haven't had a chance to use/see a martial adept in our game), & so can't comment on...

    D&D 3.x ToB: Bo9S - Nifft's Compendium

Hmm, what about (the semi-trite) Black Lotus? While the lotus symbolizes life, black implies a negative aspect of it. (My Google-Fu definitely wasn't strong enough to find a good site with origins of flower names. Must practice my search-katas.)

    D&D 3.x ToB: Bo9S - Nifft's Compendium

I agree with this as well. A two-word title with "breath" in it would be fitting. Too bad I can't find anything to go with it. The best I can come up with right now is Life's Breath, but the other style names aren't in the possessive. :( (I've been trying to look for a flower or something that...

    Battlefist Questions

Unless the battlefist's description specifically mentions a warforged being able to make iterative slam attacks with it, it shouldn't be legal. IIRC, exceptions to natural attack routines are always called out & very, very rare.
