The Book of Boba Fett (spoilers)

Imagine living in New York in 1965. You're 30 years old. You've never personally met anyone in the mafia, but you know they run all the racketeering, prostitution, drugs, etc because of the news, stories you've heard, etc. Most people in your age group have similar knowledge. Now, in your...

The Book of Boba Fett (spoilers)

The Mandalorian very quickly changed its focus to be about protecting a child and not bounty hunting though.

The Book of Boba Fett (spoilers)

Eh...I think I'll pass on any suggestions you have to give on anything. Everything I was making mention of was found under the tab "Canon" yet people are acting like it isn't, especially the matter of his galactic reputation, hence "Who knows?"

The Book of Boba Fett (spoilers)

Who knows? It includes all the clone wars stuff alongside a lot of other stuff. I just didn't know they were going to retcon him to go from the massive rep he had in the entry (and hinted at in the films) to the non-factor he is now.

The Book of Boba Fett (spoilers)

I mean, it wasn't always like that; read the wookipedia entry. But I guess none of that matters now if Disney just decided he should be a loser.

The Book of Boba Fett (spoilers)

This was my wife's theory, as well.

The Book of Boba Fett (spoilers)

Nobody. Not one person. Which is a huge step away from previous canon, is my point. I thought being well-versed in SW canon would make the show more enjoyable, but in this case definitely not.

The Book of Boba Fett (spoilers)

If he's the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy, I would have heard of him, yeah.

The Book of Boba Fett (spoilers)

So I guess a cool antihero type series with Boba Fett tracking down bounties, getting involved with politics, competing against other hunters, etc. was too much to hope for. One episode left and he was barely in the last two...and he hasn't done anything particularly cool yet. Oh well. How...

D&D 5E (2024) New Classes for 5e. Is anything missing?

4e monk was quite viable, no?

The Book of Boba Fett (spoilers)

I get what you're saying but people are still pretty lippy to a guy holding a rifle and a galaxy-wide reputation as willing to use it. I dunno. Strikes me as inconsistent.

What's your favorite superhero TTRPG and why?

Fair enough, but there are plenty of issues showing Spidey punching the Rhino (and hurting the latter) and the game system can't represent that (Spidey's 40 damage vs the Rhino's 75 damage reduction).

The Book of Boba Fett (spoilers)

What happened to Boba Fett's reputation as the most feared bounty hunter ever? And now, the only person to have survived the Sarlaac! People dissing Fett like crazy...

What's your favorite superhero TTRPG and why?

This was why our group preferred the DC Mayfair system, ultimately; in Marvel FASERIP, Spider-Man was a clear underdog against Scorpion (as an example) precisely because of this damage-armor relationship.

    D&D 5E (2014) Levels 1-4 are "Training Wheels?"

While having no problem telling other people how to play and making Oberoni-fallacy counterarguments...it's bizarre. Might not be worth continuing.

    D&D 5E (2014) Levels 1-4 are "Training Wheels?"

When did he say people don't enjoy it? What are you doing here, man?

    D&D 5E (2014) Levels 1-4 are "Training Wheels?"

This should be the end of people being offended at the idea, but...it sadly and most likely won't be.

What is your earliest and most impressionable childhood memory of reading the original D&D or other games

Reading the description of play from the 1e DMG...where did those ghouls drag him off to? And where's the thief?
