Judge decides case based on AI-hallucinated case law

As someone who is losing the ability to paint miniatures due to a medical problem, and who initially enjoyed “making” ai images and playing on AiDungeon, yes. So we should keep diving into an inherently unethical technology because it makes one guy happy? I mean, I guess so? Someone made a...

AN AI band has 900,000 monthly listeners

Songs made from stolen bits of other people’s songs isn’t “exquisite corpse”. It’s stolen trash.

Judge decides case based on AI-hallucinated case law

Except LLMs aren’t nurturing any such thing. And a really bad lawyer that can only puke up what it finds online with definitionally no understanding is worse than no lawyer. This tech will never bring us closer to a better future, it will only help billionaires steal even more of the pie.

How much water and power to avoid having to read?

AN AI band has 900,000 monthly listeners

Unless they train the ai on their own music, no, it isn’t pushing the boundaries of anything except artistic integrity and basic decency.

Judge decides case based on AI-hallucinated case law

The very clear path forward is to ban generative ai and let people grow in experience by actually doing things.

    (Crossroads) New Character Sheet

Thanks! The system’s complexity is….unusual I guess. The game isn’t all that complex in play, but has very in depth character creation, and the simple resolution mechanics use the foundation of character creation to keep players engaged without weighing them down. It is a crapton of skills and...

    (Crossroads) New Character Sheet

I know it’s janky due to the copy and paste from excel to word nod quite working perfectly, but I was at least hoping for some commentary! 😅 But seriously, I think that I might try putting the excel sheet into paint shop pro or something, cropy-paste, and then assembling the sheet from the...

    Advancement, A Weird Idea?

Interesting. One of the things I’ve worked out recently is that Techniques are gained either in game as rewards, or by advancing your skills to a new level of Mastery. Levels increase the skill rank limit, so effectively the higher mastery techniques are level gated. For the most part Traits...

    Advancement, A Weird Idea?

So at the end of a session, you ask questions and award xp based on that?

    Advancement, A Weird Idea?

No that’s fair, but I will point out that I have updated the concept (but not the OP, I’ll try to do that today), and rather than earning ranks directly, I’ve given in and gone back to Experience, but simplified exp to; 1 exp is enough to get one minor trait. Specialty ranks are minor traits...

    (Crossroads) New Character Sheet

I’ve spent the last week rebuilding my main rules document and character sheet. Neither is done but I really like the character sheet so far, and figured I’d share it. The boxes were built in excel, but aren’t interactive. I used excel to make grids and boxes, with adjustable borders and such...

    Advancement, A Weird Idea?

Yeah I really like being able to improve a little at a time.

    Advancement, A Weird Idea?

The idea of gaining a major trait after a certain number of minor traits is interesting. Get rid of tracking XP, since minor traits cost 1 exp anyway.

    Advancement, A Weird Idea?

I cannot express how much I will never design a thing around people who don’t like that type of thing. Those players will mostly level up by proxy or learn the rules regardless of the system. No type of game is for everyone. Bro this is a fun hobby not a corporate boardroom, I’m not gonna...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 5e 2024 Monk Handbook

HM you only use when you’re fighting bigger enemies. Against smaller enemies it’s best to just use Nick and FoB to attack 4-6 times depending on level. Another way to go that only works with rolled stats or a dm that doesn’t mind waiving MC prerequisites is Paladin for divine favor, a couple...

A more serious response, although my other reply is absolutely correct. I think that is exactly the right approach, and I hope DP puts out something very much like that for Exandria. I’ve recently become enamored with the idea of building out my weird aetherpunk setting for Daggerheart. I...

13, one of which isn’t the same as the others in some obvious and interesting way. It’s Eberron. Has to be a Baker’s Dozen.
