What would you like to see dropped from Dungeon?

/cynical I love that idea. And it would be so cheap for Paizo. We pay 70$ a year and get 70 empty pages every month we can fill them on our own with the content we want. Perhaps then everyone will be pleased by Dungeon and the discussion will end :\

    Wil Wheaton Drops Dungeon Column

    Wil Wheaton Drops Dungeon Column

Hm something like a "What happend to...." column would be nice. It would cover people that work or worked in the industry and explaining what they do at the moment and what they are working on. It could also cover items (from introduction up to today, who owned them and who owns them now)...

    Wil Wheaton Drops Dungeon Column

Too bad he made that decision, especially if its true that the reason he did it was because some *insert correct word here* were constantly bitching about the column. The argument that you could get more adventures into Dungeon without that columns is absolutely laughable  as if one...

When did gnomes fall from grace?

Ok, I didn't find anything usefull in English, but a ton of stuff in German :/ I'll post it anyway in case someone wants to see what garbage comes out when you throw it through Google Language Tools :p http://www.sagen.at/texte/sagen/schweiz/sagen_schweiz.htm SAGEN.at - Sagen aus der Schweiz...

When did gnomes fall from grace?

j/k ;) http://www.knowledgeproducts.net/swissgnomes.html Seriously, I'll try to find some resources in English. Though it could be a tough search since most tales are written in Swiss-German. I know one or two gnome tales from my childhood but they are not written down because they are tales...

When did gnomes fall from grace?

Actually around here gnomes are much more prominent in fairytales, mythology and stories. Halflings do not even exist here as a myth character, at least not in the local tales. So to me this whole thread should be "When did halflings fall from grace?" I do not recall a mythological tale about...

Abstract versus concrete in games (or, why rules-light systems suck)

I had a similar argument in my C&C game with an ex 3E player. I am strictly against those crit rules from 3E so those were not an option for me. They complicate things too much so in the end we house ruled that thieves and assassins can add their DEX bonus modifier (but not more than +2) to the...

How Do You Create a Cohesive Group Dynamic?

Amen to that. Additionally, I would never want to put restrictions on my players what races/classes they can play and which not. It's egoistic of the DM and doesnt help alot IMO. A group of players isnt going to be more cohesive just because the DM dictates the character creation or the...

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

Hehe yeah we were available in six-packs back then...Too bad that trade stop in 1815 happened. We were quite successfull exporting ourselves :p Imagine today you would get a multiclassed Banker/Chocolatier/Mercenary Swiss...we wage war while earning money and producing chocolate...YAY for the...

Encouraging folks to do more reviews

Question: Why doesnt ENWorld set up something like a reviewers database? People that would be willing to do reviews can fill out a little questionaire like: I would like to review the following system: ( )D20M ( )D20 ( )OGL ( )D&D 3E ( )Older D&D systems ( )Systems outside of D20/OGL I would...

Why no WOTC support for Greyhawk?

There might be more truth to that than I would like to see :p Since Greyhawk is such a historic setting and having the names of EGG, Kuntz and others behind it the whole world and the next planet would try to backstab WotC if they would mess up a, say, revised Greyhawk campaign setting book...

Why no WOTC support for Greyhawk?

The argument that WotC has Greyhawk as their "core setting" in their core rulebooks is no more than an excuse to silence those that argue that WotC doesnt support Greyhawk anymore. You know, those folks are right. WotC doesnt really support GH anymore. GH material in their released books is near...

Why no WOTC support for Greyhawk?

I think the barbarians have another opinion of their importance in the GH wars and in some of the adventures....just dont mention Vatun while they are around :]

Why no WOTC support for Greyhawk?

huh as well :) with at least 3 deserts, a region completely covered with ice and another arctic region in the upper North-East I think GH has enough sand and snow :)

Would a squirrel reference make you more likely to buy a new product?

The current poll result really does look scary. I mean.....oh well, never mind.

Would a squirrel reference make you more likely to buy a new product?

Squirrels are hunted down in the woods by the party while the DM handwaves the rolls for hit and damage. Then they are skinned, roasted and eaten. I dont think I need stats for that :) Nope, and for the sake of our DMs health I hope he never does :uhoh:

Suggestions for Non Dungeon Crawl Adventures

I'd say adventures like X1: Isle of Dread or WGA6: Isle of the Ape are adventures that play mainly outside. Or you use city adventures like the WGA series, though they are not top notch they can be made quite interesting with some DM love. Kingdoms of Kalamar: Garden of the Plantmaster is...

    Party Infighting?

One should always haggle over a beer stein, they are essential items for every adventurer. This was is what happend about two sessions ago : We were invited to the court of Prince Olinstad in Gryrax in Uleg and after the day before. After a long and intense banquet we fell into our beds...

    Party Infighting?

In one group I play a dwarven priest of Moradin and the other guy plays a fighter of Kelanen. He's the arrogant snot that thinks Kelanen is the center of the world. In the dwarves eyes he's just a little twit with a 2-handed stick in his hands. Out of this situation there have been some funny...
