    Worlds and Monsters & homebrewing

I have been debating whether or not to pick up Worlds and Monsters for a long time. Now that I started working on a homebrew setting, I have been wondering if it would be a logical step to pick it up. For those of you who picked up the book because you wanted to get an early starts on your...

    D&D 4E manual of the planes 4e

Hells yes! This is exactally what 4E needs: more reasons for my girlfriend to think we really all go out to strip-clubs on Friday nights. WOOT!

D&D 4E What will your first 4E campaign look like?

I'm not the original poster of that quote, but I'll take a stab at it. I would think a "Destiny of Kings" campaign would be something like Aragorn in Lord of the Rings or, if you've ever played the Elder Scrolls series, Martin Septum from TESIV: Oblivion.

Who still doesn't have a horse in this race?

That's were I am. I'm going to try out 4E (Which I think it looks great). If it isn't, I'm going to homebrewing for the next few years.

D&D 4E What will your first 4E campaign look like?

I'm re-imagining allot of it (well, mainly instead of undead, demons broke out of the Elemental Chaos and into Thaire. In there attacks the demons destroyed themselves and took the world along with them.) but I'll help with whatever I can.

D&D 4E What will your first 4E campaign look like?

This is a great idea, one of the best ideas for an adventure-exploration type game I've seen in a long time. If you don't mind, I'm going to steal the basic premise of this for my own upcoming 4E campaign.

D&D 4E What will your first 4E campaign look like?

    But that's just a cosmetic change. ;)

    New point buy scheme?

Just your own point-guy scale. It isn't difficult to implement; I've been using it for years.

    D&D 4E 'Advanced' 4E

Careful Attack, as seen at the play-test, was an old version of the power. All that the devs said was that it would be fixed by the release, so I'm not what the fix is exactly. If I was to guess, I would say that Careful Attack takes a standard and a minor action to use.

    Thievery Skill

I wouldn't be surprised if Slight of Hand was included in Stealth instead. I would be happy either way.

    D&D 4E Do you like 4e?

Sounds like my group : )

    Halfling ranger does 1d10+5 w/bow?

Because halflings have to wield a longsword (or any weapon with the versicle property) with two hands.

D&D 4E The 4e page needs to be updated and consolidated

I agree, it needs to be totally updated and redone. I'm sure many people on the message boards, including myself, would be willing to help in the feat (pun intended).

    Ampersand: Sneak Attack

Gather information is streetwise would be good; and untrained=1/2 your level is great! I'm just wondering if I will be able to make effective characters out of the archtypes I enjoy playing. I know I'm ranting, but I just got done with a 9 hour rehearsal, so bare with me.

    Ampersand: Sneak Attack

This is one of the first things about 4e I really don't like. Mainly the skills. I thought (hoped) that we were getting rid of class skills. Also, all the skills I never take seem to make up the rogues class skill list. As least Bluff is there, but what happened to Diplomacy? What happened to...

D&D 4E Going/Not Going to 4E which edition did you start with?

Right now, I'm talking to my group about switching. So I guess I would be pro 4E. I began playing D&D in 2001 with 1st edition. A family friend played the game in college and thought I would enjoy it. I played mostly with him and my brother for about 4 years. in 2005 I started to play 3.5 with...

What 3 classes will be in the Arcane power book?

I'd put my money on this scenario.

    The Reduction of Uncertainty

No, it was confirmed that Point Buy, Elite Array, and 4d6 drop lowest are all in the 4E PHB.

    Where's the Bard?

True, combat takes much of the session is most games. However, this isn't true for every campaign. I would agree that I have a very non-standard group, and we have 10-20% of each session devoted to combat. Everything else usually comes under the heading of "Roleplaying." However, "Roleplaying"...
