D&D 5E (2024) Eldritch Blast as a class feature of the Warlock

Having seen what they did to warlocks in MPMotM, I hope they ditch Eldritch Blast in favor of pact specific attack options.

    The Mourning After (Horror) (IC)

Round 3 The Zombie Clawfoot falls inanimate from Malix’s artful assault. Yelisha and Vesile disengage from the zombie masses, falling into the newly formed back-row, as Ozzar and Xian move to form a new front line. Xian and Lazharis’s attacks prove to be less effective than either had hoped...

    The Savage Seas (5e) [IC]

"Mister Beltran." Crawdad waves his fan, partly to temper the rising heat, and partly to shield his words from eavesdroppers, as he takes an aside with the chief. "My employers would like this resolved sooner rather than later, and quite frankly, so would I. While I am sure that the guilds...

D&D General Which Enworlders do you want to game with?

As it just so happens, there are a couple of forums down there for playing with Enworlders.

[5e] Dread Metrol, The Mourning After. (Horror) (OOC)

Figures, I take a vacation and they finally drop the playtest. Amway, I belive @Hades#2 still has a turn.

[5e] Dread Metrol, The Mourning After. (Horror) (OOC)

Going afk for a week. Finally got a vacation after 7 years, lol.

    Tetris - Official Trailer (2023)

"Based on a true story" eh? The actual story is good enough to make a documentary about it. In fact, the Gaming Historian did just that:

D&D 5E (2014) Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes or Monsters of the Multiverse if I don't care about new PC races?

Tome of Foes technically has more lore, but even then, the lore in both books is dwarfed by what you would find in a wiki. If you are interested in the changes between those entries, I have a thread for you...

    The Savage Seas (5e) [IC]

"I happen to know a thing or two about stars and ships." Crawdad offers. "But really, the bulk of sailors are there for manual labor: Handling line, hoisting sails, and weighing anchor. Also more mundane work like cleaning, cooking, and maintenance. I am quite sure adventurous persons, such as...

D&D 5E (2024) Should healing word require hit dice?

Nerfing Healing Word will not make Combat Healing more effective. If you want to make Combat Healing a real option for a character, you must first significantly up the amount of healing that a healer can produce per action. We are talking three rounds worth of actions Per Heal (based on Monster...

    The Mourning After (Horror) (IC)

The clawfoot zombie is in fact dead, again ! undead fortitude: 1D20+2 = [5]+2 = 7

    The Mourning After (Horror) (IC)

Round 2 The Ghoul, still blazing with radiant flames, contorts its broken body in unnatural ways, dying a second death as Xian's rapier pierces it. The Clawfoot Zombie turns its attention towards the dwarf who dismounted its rider. While the dwarf readily blocks the rotting maw filled with...

D&D 5E (2024) RPG Evolution: The Fox in the Henhouse

I don't see how people are getting "if there was a split, there might not be a new OGL" from this. The entire point of the split was to better monetize WotC brands.

    The Savage Seas (5e) [IC]

Crawdad keeps quiet for a bit, evaluating the people who are assembling for the job.

WotC Talks OGL... Again! Draft Coming Jan 20th With Feedback Survey; v1 De-Auth Still On

I don't understand the point of putting this up to a mass survey. The people directly effected by this do not make up the majority of the D&D survey responders. And the numerical feedback system doesn't allow for anywhere near the amount of nuance that a legal document requires.

Paizo Announces New Irrevocable Open RPG License To Replace the OGL

Wow, last night I was just thinking "with all these companies going to make their own systems, I wonder if someone will try it with a non-profit organization?" I guess I just had to sleep on it.

    The Mourning After (Horror) (IC)

The ghoul is prone, and lit ablaze by radiant light. Acrobatics: 1D20+2 = [7]+2 = 9 Radiant damage does nothing special to most undead, though some have a special weakness, ghouls are not one of them.

MCDM starts work on its RPG Monday!

I would be interested in a game that uses cards instead of dice. I don't know how far it would get, considering it seems like the TTRPG world is going to break up into an asteroid belt, but it would be refreshing at least.
