    Everybody has Spring Attack

The Kobold Karousel sounds likes an excellent name for a song.

Owl Hoot Trail: spaghetti western + fantasy = awesome. Come playtest!

Have sent my playtest email to Pelgrane. Incidentally I met Beth from Pelgrane in the queue for a London Rollergirls Roller Derby bout last year at Earls Court, a few weeks before GenCon. It is sometime a very small, and quite random, world.

    Les Miserables

I'm really keen to see this. I'm a huge musicals fan and have done a lot of amateur (and one professional) shows. This is one of my favourites - seen it, um, three or four times in London. A friend of mine appears as an extra. Given the photos he showed me of him in costume I'm going to be hard...

Does Anyone Else LOVE the new Detect Magic?

This is a really good answer to that kind of behaviour. Just because it's a cantrip and you can cast it as often as you want doesn't mean that DM's should let players do so. It's great to see someone that had a good answer, though, rather than just "This is stupid. Stop doing it." I'd add...

Owl Hoot Trail: spaghetti western + fantasy = awesome. Come playtest!

That would be a 200-page supplement. I'm sure it'd be awesome.

    Welcome to our new moderators!

Only Chuck Norris can touch the MC Bananaramahammer. Or I am threatening a Total Meme Singularity by posting that?

    Welcome to our new moderators!

Hello! Thanks for all the kind words, everyone. I tell you, this Antarctic facility is damn cold. I'm going to need to swing this banhammer around a LOT just to keep warm. I totally endorse this idea. And Relique - I never turned my back on the Hive! I kept it VERY CAREFULLY in view as I...

Owl Hoot Trail: spaghetti western + fantasy = awesome. Come playtest!

Put me down for some playtesting! I have enough friends in London that game that I'm sure I can find someone to do this. It sounds fantastic. I've played in a Weird Wild West game and had a blast. Our washed-up alcoholic Sheriff got MORE accurate the more he drank...

    Our Island Skies

This reads like the best kind of British fiction - looking forward to seeing the rest of it!

Sagiro's Story Hour: The FINAL Adventures of Abernathy's Company (FINISHED 7/3/14)

Once again I find myself blown away by this story, and filled with admiration for the players. Plus, "Bloody swath, coming right up!" is going on the list of Favourite Quotes.

Sagiro's Story Hour: The FINAL Adventures of Abernathy's Company (FINISHED 7/3/14)

My guess? ALL of them. Awesome and informative stuff, Sagiro. I suspect people will be coming back to this post in times to come to check up what you were talking about.

Compiled list of spells w/o somatic components

This thread is a terrific resource for my Fighter/Sorceror/Dragon Disciple character. :) Thank you!

Sagiro's Story Hour: The FINAL Adventures of Abernathy's Company (FINISHED 7/3/14)

Congratulations to all for the game - to Sagiro, for writing it but not forgetting the players who bring so much to the table, too! I'm stuck in a horrible yet familiar feeling - desperate to know what happens at the end but not wanting to get there quite yet.

    Is D&D "about" combat?

Disclaimer: This is in reply to the OP only, and I've not read the rest of the thread. For me, D&D is "about combat" because that's where the rules are most focused. As a counterpoint, I'd say that Mage: The Ascension is not about combat. The rules make it clear that the ability with spheres...

The official "Who will be at Gen Con?" thread.

After having so much fun last year, I'm going to be there again this year.

    Knights of the Scarlet Woman

I think this sounds like one of the most horrificly unpleasant ideas I've ever heard, to be quite honest with you. Kidnap, brainwashing, enchantment spells - it's not a surprise that "most of these young women choose to stay in the order". The ones that aren't are forced to do so! Capital E...

    Transformers 3

It was about as bad as I expected it to be. The plot made ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. The final section was pretty awesome in terms of giant fighting robots. The main question is So long as you don't consider the plot, and just enjoy the fighting, it's OK.

Sagiro's Story Hour: The FINAL Adventures of Abernathy's Company (FINISHED 7/3/14)

I'm just going to drop this in here with no further comment. Neil Gaiman's Journal: Entitlement issues... And hope fervently for a new update to this Story Hour when Sagiro has the time to write it.
