There is a huge base who will stick to PF1e, they're tying to delude us into thinking there isn't as a selling point for PF2e. PF1e doesn't need much changing, cleaning up and updating some inconsistencies sure, but nothing huge.

It's WotC and 4e/5e all over again. I'm sick of RPG companies doing this. Stick with one edition and just enhance it or clean it up in a new edition, quit overhauling entire systems!

Yup. It's what happens when a brand new system rolls out and they use the word "streamline." They end up making just new rules that are as complicated, or even more, than things were before. You would think it'd be easier to just use the original system but modify a few of the major things...

Nothing beats 2nd Edition lore and setting material. I sure wish WotC would go back to that one day.

Definitely not Pathfinder to me anymore. This is a complete overhaul. Thanks for being like WotC, Paizo. Depsite the fact I switched to you to avoid D&D/WotC. :rant:

There's an old adage to writing, and it's extremely simple and wise. "Write what you know." If you don't personally know and lived experiences of certain cultures and/or peoples for a very long period of time...you probably have no business writing with them as the subject of any writing...

The one issue with "Ultimate Wilderness" is the Shifter class. It's pretty weak and has several issues the forums on Paizo are pointing out. I believe Paizo regrets not playtesting it like they have with all their other classes. Why they chose not to put this through public playtest is beyond...

I find it interesting 5E comes out with more variety of firearms than Pathfinder does, yet they have had the Gunslinger class for years now. Paizo needs to quit slipping.

Why are they still calling it a Mystic? What's wrong with Psion? It's classic D&D and it sounds more like someone with Psychic powers than Mystic, which has magical powers. I hope they change it. I hate when they destroy sacred cows.

$50 for not even 200 pages? We had $30 books back in 3e with 250+ pages...what gives?

I know these series only cover D&D iterations, but it can be noted that this monster (including a few others in the ENCylopedia) have carried over into Pathfinder, and since it shares a system design very close to 3rd Edition, would be worth noting.

This is confusing me, so are these new mechanics and expanded material official or not? This is what turns me off to 5e. The material is SCARCE from WotC. 3rd Party there's a ton, sure, but I'm not looking for 3PP. I am strictly official material and miss the days of new material every month...
