D&D 5E (2014) DM HELP! My players killed Strahd too easily!

Unless I am mistaken Stradh has around 150 hp. A good damage dealer at 6th level will do 40-50 pointa of damage. So, in a straight up fight a 6th level party has a decent chance to kill him first turn.

    D&D 5E (2014) Need an outsider's perspective here.

This sounds like a great side quest that you unfortunatelly set up as a big "gotcha". The moral high ground of the witch is clearly debatable (binding spirits in scarecrows is evil in my book) and presenting her scripted good and overpowered was bound to create a very frustrating experience for...

    Faerie Fire too powerful

On the contrary. Since the challenge level is high I need to use my one and only concentration slot on something that truly kicks, like 8 wolf allies. Level 1 spell slots will mostly be for healing words when my allies get swatted like flies. When the challenge gets real you cannot justify...

    Faerie Fire too powerful

With conjure animals and polymorph both lasting an hour there is precious little reason to waste my concentration slot on something like FF.

    Faerie Fire too powerful

As a 7th level moon druid in my curreny campaign I dont think FF is even worth preparing. The concentration slot is always occupied by something more important.

D&D 5E (2014) Do DM's feel that Sharpshooter & Great Weapon Master overpowered?

"I am a first level varoant human barbarian with GWM" is most definitely OP.

    D&D 5E (2014) Is he evil?

Yes. Very obviously evil. I dont understand how this is a question.

D&D 5E (2014) Druid Wild Shape Beast Size

I would roll contested strength checks for druid and all adajecent creatures. If druid wins he pushes them, if he fails he has to squeeze. Not based on any statements in the rule book, just my top-of-my-head ruling.

Fifth Age: A Hard Science Fiction conversion for 5e DnD

    1. From leafing through the rules I get an impression of somewhere between 2 and 3. To get up to a 3 I would like to see some rules with basis in physics (such as starship maneuvering and such), zero G rules, exposure to vacuum etc. 2. Very few games run at max level. Do you comparisons at...

Fifth Age: A Hard Science Fiction conversion for 5e DnD

I haven't read it all yet, but what I have seen so far seems very solid. Nice work. A few comments: 1) Hard SF is IMHO not a fitting description for your work. This leans more towards space opera than hard SF. 2) Ambidextrous is very OP combined with it's prereqs. Consider reworking or...

D&D 5E (2014) I'm *GASP* Actually Going to Be Playing 5e in a Few Weeks -- What are the Character Creation Pitfalls to Avoid?

If you play a caster don't select too many spells that requires concentration.

    Support Munchkins/Powerplayers?

Power gaming a support role is largely a non-issue because you do not steal spotlight from other players, which is the real problem with power gaming. Turning up to opposition a few knots to match the powerful support the group gets is really easy to do.

    My group needs a system!

WOIN has an SRD. You need a core book to read the rules, but you can use the SRD for players and as reference. Mid-cruncy traditional rpg, should suit you tastes.

    Let them go?

You can pass this along to your group from me: "You are a bunch of needy morons. If you spent half as much time solving problems as you do whining about them there would be none left to solve!". Think that could work?

D&D Psionics Survey; Plus "First Major Mechanical Expansion" Coming?

Traditionally I would assume lots and lots of elf sub-races and wizard spells.

    An uncomfortable thought

The exact same things could occur relating to an interest in playing basket ball, no? Maybe I just live in a very modern society but I just dont see it. Imagine the face of our HR manager when he is summoned to the CEO to explain why he is wasting his own and other peoples time harrasing...

    An uncomfortable thought

I cant imagine that just practising a geek hobby should pose any issues 2016. Our sub-culture is quite well-known these days. Before I had kids I did play computer games in a way that only allowed for 4-5h sleep per night. That certainly affected my work performance.
