    D&D 5E (2014) Werewolves/rats and damage immunity

MM Errata: Damage Resistances/Immunities. Throughout the book, instances of “nonmagical weapons” in Damage Resistances/Immunities entries have been replaced with “nonmagical attacks.”

D&D 5E (2014) Can sheathe the sword, cast one spell, and drow the sword WITH Interacting with Objects Around You ?

You got me, Merric! I just read the title of the thread without re-reading the entire thing. I play a thief with a dragon mark and was thinking from that perspective.

D&D 5E (2014) Can sheathe the sword, cast one spell, and drow the sword WITH Interacting with Objects Around You ?

Correct, however, as a thief they can use their bonus action to 'interact with an object' again.

    D&D 5E (2014) Werewolves/rats and damage immunity

Unfortunately, that logic makes the monk's 6th level ability Ki-Empowered Strike (PHB p. 79) pointless. The only reasonable explanation is unarmed strikes are indeed considered weapons for purposes of overcoming immunity to nonmagical weapons. Characters lacking non-magical weapons facing a...

D&D 5E (2014) Who are the famous characters of D&D

I think the only 'iconic' characters are those who have been mentioned in every incarnation of the of the core books. Those would include: Tenser, Mordenkainen, Bigby, Nystel, Otiluke, Otto, Dwamij, Leomund, Rary, Vecna, Lum, and Kas. Of course, this list is not exhaustive.

D&D 5E (2014) Can sheathe the sword, cast one spell, and drow the sword WITH Interacting with Objects Around You ?

Another side note: you can make an opportunity attack with your fist for 1 hp if they want. Or, I'd allow an attack with the shield as an improvised weapon.

    D&D 5E (2014) KO and Death Saves

So, what if you implemented this house rule to allow death saves when KO'd and you get KO'd and then followed up by an actual death save scenario in the same fight? Additionally, if you already failed on 2 of your death saves on regaining consciousness, you'd be stuck on your 3rd save in the...

D&D 5E (2014) (Updated with links) Need advice with giving unique items to PC's without seeming contrived

Is there any reason why these 2nd level characters need to have magic items?

    D&D 5E (2014) Best Horror Setting For D&D/ Ravenloft?

Ravenloft is about the mood and setting. If he wants to straight up fight monsters, you might want to go with something more straightforward. That's not to say Ravenloft doesn't have monsters to fight, but I think he might not appreciate everything else the setting brings to the table.

    D&D 5E (2014) Best Horror Setting For D&D/ Ravenloft?

It's been a long time. I think there might be some reference to a 'dread' mechanic, but I think the information to use it is included in MotRD.

    D&D 5E (2014) Best Horror Setting For D&D/ Ravenloft?

Here's a link to Masque of the Red Death (sorry for the earlier misspelling) on DrivethruRPG: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/127234/Masque-of-the-Red-Death-and-Other-Tales-2e

    D&D 5E (2014) Best Horror Setting For D&D/ Ravenloft?

The best DnD horror in my opinion is Mask of the Red Death. It's an Earth-like setting in the 1890's. If you like Penny Dreadful, you'll love Mask of the Red Death.

    D&D 5E (2014) Magic items and identify

The rules are so wonky on this. First there's learn the properties of an item during a short rest rule. And then there's the Identify spell. I have a wizard player in my campaign with identify, so I've ruled more towards the 1st edition end of the spectrum where an Identify is the only way to...

D&D 5E (2014) Monks - Bonus Actions, Extra Attack, Flurry of Blows, and Movement

I don't mean to be overly nit-picky, but for purposes of being explicitly clear there is one other action that can be taken each turn. It's the Free Action which is typically used to draw one weapon, but can be used to interact with any object within reach. I realize this isn't part of the...

D&D 5E (2014) Is it possible to have a good-aligned final boss in a good campaign?

Pardon me, I have not read the entire thread. The Watchmen comes to mind as a prime example of someone who has the best of intentions, but is lead astray.

    D&D 5E (2014) Werewolves/rats and damage immunity

The stalagmite could be wielded as an improvised weapon, so no damage. There aren't any rules currently about monsters are sufficiently powerful enough to overcome immunity to weapons afaik. So, based off what we currently have, no a giant would not do any damage with with a non magical non...

    D&D 5E (2014) Werewolves/rats and damage immunity

I don't know how plainly I can state this without sounding condescending. So, I'll repeat the line in the Monster Manual which states: Damage Immunities: bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical weapons that aren't silvered. I've also provided you with the definition of an...
