D&D 5E (2024) Not a fan of the new Eldritch Knight

Depends on the length of the adventuring.

Mage slayer comes way too late In my opinion.

D&D 5E (2024) Not a fan of the new Eldritch Knight

Actually against high level foes it nearly does not matter as they have such a high bonus, odds are youblose initiative aghinst them anyway, except when you put every resource you have into it. And then the qiestion is if putting your resources elsewhere is equally efficient.

    Ah. Thank you.

D&D Debuts Playtest for Psion Class

Maybe. And int based. Still a lot better than just a subclass of something. Link please?

D&D Debuts Playtest for Psion Class

It is to the wizard as the druid is to the cleric. Closely related but enough on their own to warrant a new class. I like that it builds upon the subclass mechanics of fighter and rogue and also introduces wild talent feats.

    D&D General 1s and 20s: D&D's Narrative Mechanics

I rather use the fail by 5 or more for spcecial failures and succeed with a cost mechanic to allow narrative control for the players. Rolling a 1 on an attack is just described as a little slapstick action.

D&D 5E (2014) Convince me that the Ranger is a necessary Class.

If you redistribute extra attacks anyway, give 3rd attack at level 10, not 9 or 11. Extra attack at level 5,10,15 and 20. Spell levels 1,3,5,7,10,12,15,17,20

    D&D 5E (2024) Illusion Magic in 2024

I agree. I would just describe it as the arrow passing through. At high range, tmit might not be obvious if it does so beacause of an illusary nature or some other effect. An illusiory creature could as well be a ghost. So I might allow a free study check.

    D&D 5E (2024) Modest Ranger Fix

Yes. Probably better just say: haunters's mark is always active.

    D&D 5E (2024) Ranged Builds Thread

I am still unsure, but I somehow want to play a longbow archer with great weapon mastery. I am not sure however how to realize it best. I am thinking about an eldritch knight. We need high dex, medium str. Medium con, high int. So stats are: Str 13 Con 12 Dex 15+2 Int 14+1 Wis 10 Cha 8...

How do you use warthful smite with a ranged weapon?

    D&D 5E (2024) Modest Ranger Fix

Yeah. That is some kind of a workaround. Probably you can cast it on yourself just fine. Maybe both spells, hunter's mark and hex should work that way as default: Target: self When you cast it or on a later round, you can use a bonus action to mark or hex a target. On a later turn you can use a...

    D&D 5E (2024) Modest Ranger Fix

I like those fixes. One last fix I'd like is removing verbal component from the spell. And maybe allow it to also be cast during an attack action for free at level 13.

Maybe. But I do use line of sight for both effects.

    D&D 5E (2024) Sage Advice Compendium Updated To 2024

I don't like quite a few things in the sage advice... and I actually think they are wrong (great weapon fighting). In this case I think you can technically read it either way... turn to dust if you reach zero can mean it does not turn the orc into dust because they don't reach zero. The half...

I misinterpreted your first reply: "Sorry, but nope." as if you don´t want to publish it there. Again, my bad.
