page 9 of adventurer's vault lists a double sword, its a d8/d8 weapon, one end is heavy blade with defensive, the other is light blade with off hand. page 10 has a sidebar: you could easily use the double sword as listed for your ranger powers.

isolating avenger who is in a group with a controller that wont let him isolate (he will deal more damage if he gets wailed on!) is most likely to die in a blaze of glory.
