I disagree. You don't need class features to tell a story. They can help, but are not necessary.

What is the point of this bragging post?

Reliable is like what? Level 11 rogue ability? We are talking about a completely different character in this case...

D&D 5E (2014) Arcane Trickster with Wizard Splash

Sorry, got confused with the Bard MC topic next door. Still, there are a lot of goodies at the higher rouge levels, is "optimizing" 1st level spells (whole 6 of them per day) worth postponing acquisition of said goodies and completely foregoing the capstone? Added: if we are talking of a...

D&D 5E (2014) Arcane Trickster with Wizard Splash

Agreed, but are level 1 spells really that important at the 3rd tier? Are they worth the shenanigans and the delay of acquisition of 8-9 level spells?

The stats that you've rolled are better than average, I'd say keep them. As for the Thieves Tools - they are not a catch-all or only tool for disarming traps. Some Traps cannot be disarmed at all, some can be broken/avoided once encountered, third are activated by enemies etc. Do not worry...

    D&D 5E (2014) Ranged Rogue Feats

A 7-level rouge with SA deals 23.5 (1d8+4d6+5) damage on a normal hit. This increases to 42 (2d8+8d6+5) on a crit. Advantage improves crit chance by 0.95*0.05=0.0475 Elven Accuracy improves crit chance by 0.95^2*0.05=0.045125 0.045125*(41-23.5)=0,8348125<1 Your average damage increase is less...

Nothing except for your DMs approval, but as it is literally written in subclass description I doubt you will have any problem getting it.

Given the party composition, I'd guess that most likely it will be a good idea to focus on controller role in combat. So pick your spells accordingly. Also depends on what level are you starting from.

That is probably 3.x hangover that you still have ;) It is really a good job by wotc that you don't need to create mc abominations to be efficient now. Would be interested to know how your stats roll out and what will your party be.

    D&D 5E (2014) Ranged Rogue Feats

In my experience, Dex definitely trumps all the options presented at lvl 4. YMMW. Also subclass matters.

Ok, just a quick login from mobile. Med armor doesn't limit your dex modifier to relevant checks, just some of it inposes stealth disadvantage. I don't see a lot of gain from a 1 level rouge deep both in terms of utility and combat. Basically everything the rogue gets can be...

    D&D 5E (2014) I need Rogue/Paladin/Bard MC advice please.

Well, you've said nothing about being the party scout to start with, but also you can just stick with the breastplate. It will be better than studded leather for a significant time. I think that with your ability to use the weapon as a focus, Resilient is better than War Caster. Basically, that...

D&D 5E (2014) How would you handle a healing economy?

On a side note - in case of any wide-spread plague, any place that has "enough" magical healing to help local population will get a huge inflow of people from other places, where they don't have enough healers. Quarantines, refugees storming the gates, moral dilemmas ... all the good stuff.

    D&D 5E (2014) I need Rogue/Paladin/Bard MC advice please.

Why would you need to draw/sheet weapons? IIRC you can use your weapon as a spell focus with the blade. Whispers gives you higher damage using your inspiration but doesn't give you armour proficiency, nor a fighting style, nor an extra attack, resulting in lower defences and lower non-nova...

    D&D 5E (2014) I need Rogue/Paladin/Bard MC advice please.

Basically, with any MC build you have to figure out how your dip in another class compares with just getting the benefits of normal progression with your main class. What level are you starting on and how far are you planning to advance? You should take into consideration that you will have to...

If you are going to optimize, determine your role better. It is hard to judge/suggest ideas without understanding what are you striving to have as the result. Also important what stat generation method are you going to be using? What way acquiring magic items are you expecting?

D&D 5E (2014) Advice on dealing with high level characters.

Can't wait for my players to survive to become high-level ... On a more serious note - I don't see much of a qualitative difference in preparing for the higher-level adventures. Your villains still have to have a reasonable plan, brute enemies have to be brutal, intelligent foes should act...

    D&D 5E (2014) Using NPC Spellcasters

Well, because we know how magic abundant are the most of the worlds where the printed adventures take place. Might be wrong. Not an expert on published materials.

@ Gadget Well, this is true, they don't. What are implications of this to spellcasting NPCs?
