Well if Dark Sun will by some miracle be released as a campaign book it will be ridiculously overhauled and people will complain that it isn't Dark Sun.

Dragonlance is too vanilla so I don't think it will be one of them. Dark Sun is too hardcore and grimdark so I don't think that one will be included too. Spelljammer maybe? Space-faring fantasy is neat. Also Lorwyn > Eldraine so I hope for a Lorwyn setting book.

Interesting. My only gripe is that the word 'Thunder' is still used for damage made by sound, 3.5's 'Sonic' name made much more sense.

There was always the rule of 'you can change everything you want'. The problem is that people are having issues with how are things written.

So I was pondering, the naming change to 'Ancestry' seems silly to me because ancestry is more family/ethnicity related. And 'Species' as some mentioned sounds to sci-fish. So I was thinking about 'Kin'. I think it seems fitting.

The funny thing is that there are SO many other RPG games that tackle these "problematics" and are better than D&D. Yet people latch onto D&D like it's their holy grail or something.
