Could we please have a non evil/ammoral pact for Warlocks? :)

No more than the powers of Evil. I mean, they could try to take you down, obviously, or send wise men after you, warning you to repent. Which are all fodder for interesting scenes.

Could we please have a non evil/ammoral pact for Warlocks? :)

I'm fond of thinking of Good, cosmologically, as just as foreign and dangerous as Evil, so Good Warlocks seem perfectly sensible - and non-nice - to me. I'm sure the Celestial Warlock will be one of the first fan projects out the door, so I'm unconcerned with whether Wizards does it or not.

Mike Mearls on Combat vs Non-Combat roles

His point is that min-max and thespianism shouldn't be at odds. So there's no need to overcome it.

    Educated guess on Multi-Classing

I feel like you may have overly developed intuitions about how magic operates. Can a great warrior who picks up some elementary instruction plausibly progress faster than a novice who picks up the same? Sure. Maybe the warrior is greater-souled; perhaps the fires he's been through have been...

    DDM Preview 6 Cyclops

Why does a cyclops have blindsight? Doesn't that defeat the point?

    4 roles - why 5 players?

Because the roles are designed to be synergetic (and that's, more or less, their purpose) a 3-member party is going to differ from a 4-member party more so than a 5-member party will, since the 3-member party is the only one that hasn't satiated all its slots. Additonal PCs past four are gravy...

    Communism (& Socialism) in RPGs

Sorta. Certainly not in the sense that E. Gary Gygax was rubbing his hands together, cackling about the oppression of the proletariat, but simply in the sense that D&D and other RPGs are, like everything else around us, the products of a particular time and place and are going to reflect those...

How different should Arcane and Divine magic be?

Well, I guess it depends whether "Leader" implies anything other than boost abilities. If it does, I'll certainly be happy.

    Communism (& Socialism) in RPGs

D&D is interesting in that it hardcodes the bourgeois narrative into its rules: the plucky young person goes out into the world, and through grit and calculated risk, grows and grows in power as if it were the natural sort of way a human being matures. The victims here are dehumanized...

How different should Arcane and Divine magic be?

Undifferentiate the spell list, and give spells plenty of topical tags, but not "Arcane" or "Divine" ones. Then specify what tags to which a character has access by class, deity, tradition, whatever. It would be nice to see the Cleric distinguished from the wizard by the social role she plays...

    Tiefling Tables

Cosmetic effects should be up to the player, but I think good default assumptions are that "every Tiefling is different" and "the higher or lower the Charisma, the more pronounced the features." Which might be a cool way to cover non-cosmetic benefits. If racial progression offers branching...
