    {Settings Tournament} Round 5 - Finals! Greyhawk vs. Planescape

While Gary is gone, there are other Greyhawk co-creators still living, thankfully. Rob Kuntz is still around, as are a number of the players in the original campaign, and Gary's children Luke and Ernie who were among the primary participants in the game. No one can replace Gary, of course, but...

    Greyhawk Collector's Guide

Wonderful, and thank you :D I haven't thus far, but if/when I run across it, hopefully my mental note alert won't have expired yet.... I know nothing about True Dungeon, so the only reason these even came to my attention was that they were listed in the Acaeum thread links I mentioned...

    Campaign design support group thread

You're both welcome :D I'm not running a serious campaign at present, Mercurius, so no love for you there. My current DMing schedule is about every 3 months for my two sons (9 and 5 years odl) and running them through my version of Castle Greyhawk. Not a lot of serious campaign development...

creating a tavern full of traps.

Your concept immediately reminded me of The Safe House in Milwaukee, although it's not really trap-filled so much as spy-genre-filled: http://www.safe-house.com/ I could see this working well in a Sanctuary-like town on a crossroads, perhaps, where the locals know the traps (which couldn't...

    Campaign design support group thread

Some of my favorite campaign-design articles were written by Ed Greenwood in Dragon Magazine BITD: - "Plan Before You Play" Dragon #63 - "Law of the Land" Dragon #65 Also good were "The Merry Month of...Mirtul?" in Dragon #47, ""Down-To-Earth Divinity" in Dragon #54, and (to a lesser extent...

    Greyhawk Collector's Guide

Hey Ant--- Some Greyhawk additions I don't remember talking about before (I scrolled through the rest of the thread, and didn't see them, but not sure if you've covered them elsewhere): - Origins 1 tournament version of Tomb of Horrors (1975) - Origins 2 tournament version of Expedition to the...

    AD&D1 DMG & MM pics

Non-white endpapers was standard issue for the early printings of the MM (red), PHB (orange), and DMG (goldenrod). That's one of the reasons that we published the Black Blade/Usherwood edition of OSRIC with red endpapers---an homage to this usage from the first editions of the core AD&D books.

If you do buy the book, please check the listing for the vampire errata for me?: in the vampire entry on page 99, how does the third sentence in the 7th paragraph read---"The vampire loses one-third of its hit points per ROUND of immersion." or "The vampire loses one-third of its hit points per...

    Maure Castle

The hands might make a desirable sacrifice for the stone, but I'm not sure they really go toward answering the Q asked very much ;) I guess that bailing on the Q would likely cause the stone to gain no alliance with the PCs---aka, potential new cultist followers: perhaps have it ask the PC to...

    Maure Castle

Hmmmm. Interesting Q, Kevin. I think the Q is a bit vague, and since the stone is intelligent, it could prompt the PC to clarify his Q/intentions before answering. On the answer front, I think at least part of the answer will vary if you are running just the core 3 levels from WG5 or are...
