WotC's Nathan Stewart: "Story, Story, Story"; and IS D&D a Tabletop Game?

Wow, yet more non-4th Ed bashing, I'll give you one thing, well, two, you're consistent and relentless with your agenda.

WotC's Nathan Stewart: "Story, Story, Story"; and IS D&D a Tabletop Game?

Well, obviously not, psionics are only in one PH, and as an optional appendix, no psionic races or classes, and warlord is a controversial class (Henisoo's pet) that has only been in one PHB. So, yeah, not even close to glaring or a real omission.

D&D 5E (2014) Creative solutions to the hypothetical GWF/Sharpshooter issue

No, let's not get hysterical, you're just once again praising 4th Ed and bashing non-4th Ed.

WotC's Nathan Stewart: "Story, Story, Story"; and IS D&D a Tabletop Game?

Like he said, that would be released to support one of their per year stories (Squid-Head Terror, or what-have-you), but he did mention books maybe being released outside of the stories deal, if there was demand.

    D&D 5E (2014) Darksun Bow alternative materia

I see no need for a penalty "to hit" for non-metal weapons (since 2nd Ed Dark Sun), but the -2 to damage for bone and -2 to damage for wood seems cool (obviously a minimum of 1 point on a hit).

    D&D 5E (2014) Monsters as characters?

I don't own it yet, but I thought the DMG makes it clear you can add class levels to monsters, is that right?

    D&D 5E (2014) Mage armor and A shield

Not so much rules lawyering, but more wilful misinterpretation in an attempt to undermine 5th Ed.

    D&D 5E (2014) Mage armor and A shield

Of course shields stack with mage armour, mage armour is like armour, where it sets your AC to 11+, shields just increase AC by 2. Just like shields stack with Unarmoured Defence.

D&D 5E (2014) Anyone play with just the basic rules?

Odd, where is that written as a fact, or is this yet more, passive, edition bashing?

D&D 5E (2014) Low Level Wizards Really Do Suck in 5E

Not so much editing, just more passive, edition bashing garbage.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Multiverse as setting - do you do it?

I disagree, I think it chucked some of the great stuff, and got a bit Disney.

[UPDATED] WotC Gives You Some Official 5E Modern Armor!

Is there now a PDF? Also, I do not have the DMG yet, are flamethrowers in there?

[UPDATED] WotC Gives You Some Official 5E Modern Armor!

I wish it was available in PDF format.

D&D 5E (2014) Point Buy or Standard Array

It can work, but is more suited to a game like 4th Ed, where homogenisation is a cornerstone.

    D&D 5E (2014) Would you change a monster's hit points mid-fight?

That is total ad-hoc house-ruling (denying a class feature), I know a lot of people that would be furious if a DM did that, way more than if he/she fudged a roll. I can see where you are coming from, but that is not playing RAW.

D&D 5E (2014) Point Buy or Standard Array

Yep, and they are proficient in Str saving throws, so that helps shore up a bit.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Multiverse as setting - do you do it?

Yep, and The Mists of Ravenloft can reach Athas (there is an Athasian Domain of Dread: Kalidnay). And the Githyanki managed to get there. It is still not clear if at one point there were gods for Athas.

    D&D 5E (2014) So,whats up with those half orcs?

I have kept them LE, focused on Gruumsh, and their nemesis race: goblins. Makes them more interesting than CE rampaging meanies.
