    Should fighters be skill monkeys?

I like it how it is. If a Fighter wants more skills there are ways to get them - MC, Feats, etc. As a class they don't need to be front-loaded with more skills.

D&D 5E (2014) Do Fighter Battlemaster Superiority dice feel magical?

If special maneuvers were always available then they wouldn't be special anymore. Essentially Superiority Dice are on cool down once used, refreshing on a simple Short Rest so that they're available in many/most combats.

D&D 5E (2014) Do Fighter Battlemaster Superiority dice feel magical?

No. They push things, disarm things, make things easier to hit, distract things and other actions a master of combat could possibly accomplish. They don't make you invisible or let you fly or spit fire at something or the like.

Legendary Magic Items - your experiences?

    Dream sequence/montage?

    Xanathar's 18 Pages of What??

Well, Wizards tells us that non-variant Humans are all the rage and barely anyone uses Feats. In such a world I can imagine that detailed rules for assembling magical doohickeys is a pretty high hanging fruit.

Legendary Magic Items - your experiences?

I've had a couple of players at my table who had the Belt of Storm Giant's Strength. Potent, there's no melee class that wouldn't want it. It seems broken but generally by the time the players can get it you can adjust the game to modify that item. I have a fighter PC with an Iron Flask...

    Creating spell scrolls

You could make scroll spells less than absolutely reliable. Have the scribing wizard make an Int(Arcana) check when they finish creating a scroll, DC 15+Spell Level. Scrolls start out 90% reliable and go down from there by 10% per 1 that the DC was missed by. Example 1: Wizard is scribing...

Help in getting a second sneak attack

I had considered posting a poison option but the issue you might run into then is that it's not class-specific, though Poisoner's Kit proficiency would be needed. What's to keep the Fighter from coating their weapon in Poison? Then all you've done is increase everyone's damage output (at least...

Spelljammer Is Spelljammer Coming To D&D 5E?

So thinking about Spelljammer, which I've never actually played but read back in the day, my main concern is getting an entire party onboard (that's a pun!) with the system. I've run a few parties in games that had ship management as part of the play - last one was Rogue Trader. What I've...

    Coming Back from Banishment

Planeshift is the most common. A devil that lacks Planeshift needs some other method of moving to another plane - perhaps a summoning or a portal or the like.

Spelljammer Is Spelljammer Coming To D&D 5E?

I guess that would be okay. I'm a big Age of Sail fan and wanted to like Spelljammer, but it never really tickled my fancy. If that's what they want to release, okay, I'll give it a try. I still think we'll see something more akin to Planescape than Spelljammer but I've been wrong before.

How do you handle loot from enemies with mighty or evil weapons?

It really depends how you want to handle it as a DM. I've had games where certain powerful magic items required 'binding rituals' that would not be available to, or really not wanted by, the players. This let BBGs have cool items that wouldn't result in mega power boosts for the players when...

A Look at the Duerger: Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes Preview

I liked that, too. Pretty evocative. Leaves it uncertain as to whether the warlocks are Duergar, even.

A Look at the Duerger: Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes Preview

That seems like a bit of hyperbole. It was explained that they had a lot on their plate this month and why play test info wasn't in the cards. A sample of an upcoming book that includes new races and likely rules seems within the wheelhouse of what UA provides in lieu of other materials...

A Look at the Duerger: Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes Preview

I understand that. They have some interesting ideas, even. But there are more interesting ways to present such concepts, in my experience. Look at Games Workshop, for example. They put lots of flavor fiction in their books to give a fuller concept of how their world looks and behaves.

D&D 5E (2014) A Flesh to Stone Creature is Not an Object?

It's an interesting take. After all, Greater Restoration will rid you of the condition and you don't Greater Restore an object. Hmmm

A Look at the Duerger: Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes Preview

I'm seeing MToF as being more of a preview of what direction the next WotC AP is going to go. That said, more random charts makes it hard for me to suppress a yawn.

Help in getting a second sneak attack

The road for more damage for my Rogue came from multiclassing to Fighter. The PC started as a Rogue and still identifies mainly as being one, but has more Fighter levels at this point. This has allowed for three attacks a round with Sharpshooter with the first generally being at Advantage...

    AD&D 2E What PF2E means for D&D5E

It will make a bigger impact if it's actually a good game system. Something like 5e that is easy for new players to absorb and has enough interesting features to satisfy veterans.

D&D 5E (2014) Red Flags For Classes In Sources Beyond The Player's Handbook

This sounds like an unnecessary practice with regard to character generation. If there's something specific to the campaign you're running, that's fine. But if you're blocking stuff just 'cause you've heard the Internet sez it's bad, I wouldn't sweat it. The toughest I'd go for general...
