That hack rag? Please. :p Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) PHB is #3 right now on "Amazon's Hot New Releases"

Mearls has already confirmed "the spells work". So I'm getting to memorizing a few of them. He also warned us to be careful when the Monster Manual is released. Thaumaturge.

This exchange seems pertinent as well. Thaumaturge.

I appreciate that Mearls is putting it in a larger perspective instead of shouting the launch window numbers and acting like that was the complete picture. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) PHB is #3 right now on "Amazon's Hot New Releases"

 It's a little detail I like throwing in when it fits. I'm glad someone notices appreciates them. Thanks. :) —— The PH(B) still #1 in "Hot New Releases" as of this post. And #3 in Amazon's overall "Best Sellers in Books" category. It has some legs. Mearls mentioned on twitter: "Kind...

D&D 5E (2014) PHB is #3 right now on "Amazon's Hot New Releases"

I've actually cancelled my two orders. Because my LGS was F enough to have a midnight release. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) PHB is #3 right now on "Amazon's Hot New Releases"

I'm sure you've thought of it, but I would guess the average product generates more reviews, overall, now than in 2000. Despite that caveat, that's an impressive number of 5 star reviews and an interesting comparison. It appears to be, which gives us another, quite positive seeming, data...

D&D 5E (2014) PHB is #3 right now on "Amazon's Hot New Releases"

Oh no doubt. I just figured someone would raise the point sooner or later, so I got the ball rolling. I still think there's probably some acceleration from 2008 to 2014, but my guess is it's less. Still, 5e is doing quite well out of the gates. Thaumaturge.

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeonscape no more?

You forgot about the bots that post snarkily at the other bots all along the way. T.

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeonscape no more?

It's a sudden change from our perspective, on the outside, but WotC has been sitting on the app for weeks. Trapdoor mentioned at least a couple of times that they were waiting for final approval from WotC to release it to the App Store. This was building for a time, for whatever reason...

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeonscape no more?

That's possible. But from their twitter: That could mean nothing specifically D&D branded (so "5e-compatible" or some such), but a plain reading seems to be that they are on to other things. Thaumaturge.

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeonscape no more?

I'm quoting me from May. Glad I went into it this way. I am not disappointed. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) [Rules Question] Opportunity Attacks and Total Cover

I agree. It helps that it was my initial ruling, but I think it's the right one. :) I think going with the OA at disadvantage is a perfectly fine ruling/house rule. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) [Rules Question] Opportunity Attacks and Total Cover

This was my argument, for sure. It's not the xorn's fault they can't attack him in his new square just below them. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) [Rules Question] Opportunity Attacks and Total Cover

I don't mind this ruling. It's a very "say yes" DM move. Does anyone have a problem with only A getting the OA? It feels weird to me that the xorn is disappearing for all 3, but only 1 gets the OA. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) What technology do you own that you are willing to bring to the table?

Do dice towers count as technology? Because those save a remarkable amount of time over the course of a night. At least at my tables where dice rolled free seem to go to the craziest places. How about dry erase boards? Are those technology? Wine. Thauma-hic-turge.

D&D 5E (2014) [Rules Question] Opportunity Attacks and Total Cover

Interesting, so a swipe at him just as he goes into the ground? I kind of like that. It at least gives the player a shot. There's no way the player would have hit short of a crit in that case, but it's interesting, nonetheless. Thaumaturge.
