Berserker Fury (Heroes of the Feywild)

I'm utterly confused now. You rephrased it as "you cannot use (your) non-martial powers when you are not under the influence of your Berserker's Fury". Primal powers are non-martial powers. Ergo, by your rephrasing I should not be able to use primal powers while not in Berserker Fury. I think...

Berserker Fury (Heroes of the Feywild)

Yes, but mneme claimed that you can't use primal powers unless you're in Berserker Fury. So how can you use a primal power to get into Berserker Fury when you can't use a primal power unless you're already in Berserker Fury?

Berserker Fury (Heroes of the Feywild)

That doesn't make a lot of sense either, since one way of entering Berserker Fury is "When you use a barbarian primal attack power". If you can only use your primal powers when you are in Berserker Fury, how can you enter the fury by using a primal power?

Berserker Fury (Heroes of the Feywild)

While reading up on the Berserker in Heroes of the Feywild, I noticed this sentence starting at the end of page 44: Two things... One, I don't see anything under the class feature Berserker Fury that disallows the use of martial powers. Two, if they are disallowed when raging, how would power...

    Is D&D "Rubbish"?

Wow, this guy is like a breath of the worst parts of D&D vs Runequest in the early eighties. Class-less is better than class-based, damage absorbtion is better than AC, etc, etc. And "better" always meant "a better simulation of reality". :-S But his bit about 4th edition... almost made me cry...

Saving Throw vs Death Saving Throw

    1. I can't quote an exact rule, but in my campaign it would not. It seems stupid if it would. 2. Any rest, short or extended, resets this counter.

    Shadow as a "power source"?

I'm no expert on 4E cosmology, but I think you're mistaken here. Shadowfell is where the dead go and where the god of the dead (Raven Queen) resides. How is that not the plane of the dead?

    CB and MB on Ubuntu?

I hear this rumour a lot. Have you seen any actual statement from MS supporting this? I'm a MS certified developer working at a MS Gold Partner application development company, and I haven't seen such a statement.

    Advice Requested: Healer Build

I know what you mean about the character builder not being able to factor in much of your benefits. I played an 11th level Deva Cleric (Pacifist Healer) and had to add corrections to more than half my power cards. Here is my build for comparison: ====== Created Using Wizards of the Coast D&D...

    CB and MB on Ubuntu?

Is it? It says Status=NEW when I open the link above... Anyway, I think the problem is Moonlight will always be a little behind on the feature curve. WotC is using Silverlight 4 in their applications and I don't think Moonlight is up to that level yet.

    Intelligent reflexes?

That's a bit surprising considering that Avengers are Int- or Dex-secondary. But I've never seen an Avenger in real play, so I'm a bit unfamiliar with how they work at the table. Still, that could just be as simple as reducíng the bonus from Armor of Faith.

    Intelligent reflexes?

Can you be more specific? Which Wis-primary class would this give a significant boost to?

    Intelligent reflexes?

Well... These are all Wis-primary, so they are in the clear. They are Wis-secondary, not Int-secondary. Yes, warlocks could need heavy armour And Non-Dex-secondary. So, of the PHB1 builds, only the staff wizard is getting the shaft (pun most definitely intended). Bards already have access...

    Intelligent reflexes?

Exactly, the game is already full of class exceptions when calculating AC. I'm trying to figure out where I need to put in new exceptions and which should be changed or removed. The main purpose is certainly not to "give wizards a lower AC". I do realise that a 3-point difference is serious...

    Intelligent reflexes?

Fine, I'm weird. But it's not what I hoped the discussion would be about. So, swordmages take a serious hit to their AC and some wizards as well. It enables the lightly armoured cleric and invoker. Warlocks might need heavy armour. Anything else?

    Intelligent reflexes?

Oh, I was thinking "fantastic" compared to what they used to have in the old editions. :) But I agree that they could need some compensation. Not just heavy armour, though. I happen to like that wizards have horrible AC.

    Intelligent reflexes?

Well, what makes more sense is a matter of flavour and taste. I'm trying to see the ramifications of such a switch. Obviously the Int-primary classes would get into trouble, since they use light armour now. Personally, I rather like that wizards don't automatically get a fantastic AC and Wand...

    Intelligent reflexes?

For a long time I've felt that defence-pairing Intelligence with Dexterity feels wrong. Dexterity works well with Reflex, but Intelligence? I know about "quick thinking", but is that really Intelligence? To me Intelligence has always been about logic, learning and stuff like that. Quick thinking...

    D&D 4E Holy Water in 4e?

If you're addressing the OP, he got that answer almost a year and a half ago. He just hadn't picked up Divine Power yet and expected Holy Water to be in PHB. If you're addressing me, I'll stick with my version of it.
