The issue I see with it is that it's so good just about everyone will be running around with giant badgers. The ranger would be making 5 attacks per round after level 11.

I'd give the cleric some chance. A dex save or concentration check would be reasonable to me. But of course I'd also remind the players that NPCs and spellcasting monsters would have the same chances.

I'd imagine this is the 'core' tiefling, and that there will be some setting-specific tiefling sub-races down the line. To me, this is Wizards letting us know the race is a fundamental part of the 5e canon and will be supported as such. Because it's core and not tied to a particular setting...

Hehe - I don't have it myself. I just was looking for something similar a while back and came across that info. I will tell you that while I like the dragon magazine monk, it's very powerful. It could be totally fine or a nightmare, depending on the overall power level of your campaign.

There was an accessory for 2E called 'The Scarlet Brotherhood' written by Sean K Reynolds that has 2nd edition versions of the monk and the assassin classes. If you can get ahold of that you'll have the TSR take on the class at the time.
