Hasbro's Heroquest and Chaosium’s Role in the Board Game’s Return

Yeah, I still have my original game and while it was great when I was a kid, there are dungeon crawler TT games out there now that are so much better. Descent, Tainted Grail, Gloomhaven, etc. I can't justify dropping $100+ to own the same game twice. It will be interesting to see if the IP goes...

Hasbro's Heroquest and Chaosium’s Role in the Board Game’s Return

So it's the exact same board game, with some upgraded components and female miniatures. I'll just hang on to my original copy :)

    D&D 5E (2014) 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

As much as I would love a new Birthright book, that setting barely even shows up on the survey results. Besides, you can run a Birthright game using the following system with far better results than 5e will get you...

    D&D 5E (2014) 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

If the 2020 survey results still mesh up with the results from the 2015 survey, then I think Dark Sun and Planescape are pretty much assured. The third setting I'm not sure. Ravenloft was in the top tier with Dark Sun, Planescape, Eberron, and Forgotten Realms so it might get another book...

D&D 5E (2014) A First Look at Tasha’s Lineage System In AL Player’s Guide - Customizing Your Origin In D&D

This is both uninspired and unnecessary. My interest in this book just went from 0 to -10. Time to roll up a new system.

Green Ronin's Sword Chronicle Now Available

I thought GR put out some errata that fixed a lot of those problems. Some rewrites to some of the combat benefits, etc?

Green Ronin's Sword Chronicle Now Available

If you want to run a Birthright campaign, this is the RPG to consider IMO.

Worlds of Design: The Lost Art of Running Away

I like how running away is handled in Forbidden Lands. You get stuck in a bad situation and you can make a MOVE roll to vamoose. The difficulty depends on how engaged you are in the fight. It's simple, works well, and lets the player decide how to narrate the event.

    D&D 5E (2014) Unearthed Arcana: 16 New Feats

The link to the UA pdf isn't working anymore?

The Book of Fiends 5e: An Interview with Will Sobel (Green Ronin Publishing)

Those are some awesome authors on this. I don't run 5e games so this will be a pass for me, but Shadow of the Demon Lord is one of my favorite games by Schwalb so I can only imagine what this book will be like.

Pathfinder 2E Kingmaker Adventure Path's Cover Art

This adventure path would work well using the Forbidden Lands rules. Hex crawl, check, building up your stronghold, check.

Roll20's Latest Report Shows Growth Everywhere!

I've been debating running a 3.5 campaign again. Such a great system and it's flaws are easily mitigated.

Kickstarter for Deadlands The Weird West Funded

As much as I love the setting, I don't have any players interested so I'm going to have to pass on it.

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana Revisits Psionics

Dang, that's really well done! I like it even more than the UA stuff.

    D&D 5E (2014) Exploring Eberron Cover

LOL, that's a VERY low bar to beat.

D&D General Ranger, Why Do You Guard the Frontier?

Don't forget the ranger who's just practicing "social distancing", and merely forgot to stop after the pandemic ended.

D&D 5E (2014) Which Is Better: Regular or Alternate Cover Art For Theros?

Alternate would make a better cover IMHO. The original strikes me more as interior art for some reason. The second Eberron cover was also pretty bad. Better than the first one they picked for sure, but it doesn't hold a torch to any of the other covers in the 5e line.

Roll20 Reports First Drop For D&D

Savage Worlds get played in person, A LOT. It's one of those games that plays better in physical form that it does via VTT. I gleaned that from the Facebook posts I see showcasing miniatures and game table setups of "savages".
