    D&D 5E (2014) Warlock and Repelling Blast

The DMs I've played with typically use something similar to the falling rules. If the target is against a wall and can't be pushed back 10ft, it takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage and may fall prone. On topic: I agree with your scenario above--30ft for 3 hits. That's how we play it in our games.

Then go for a halfling barbarian. Hit 'em low and hit 'em hard.

    D&D 5E (2014) Odd character creations

There's nothing stopping you from making a paladin. Paladin's have no alignment restriction. There's no reason a paladin can't play in the same party as a rogue assassin. Unless, it goes against your personal beliefs or the GM's rules. Personally, I think paladins are a lot of fun, so I'd say go...

D&D 5E (2014) How to make an optimized and powerful net user

If you get a rogue with proficiency in nets they should be able to sneak attack with nets, and the one attack thing isn't a problem. Make sure to pick up Sharpshooter for no disadvantage at long range and -5 hit +10 damage. You'll be killing things with a net in no time. If they survive, they...

Thanks for clarifying, since apparently I was confused as well. Your hypothetical example also sounds like lots of fun by the way.

D&D 5E (2014) How Do Monks Survive At Low Levels?

I suppose you could invest 3 levels in rogue/swashbuckler to get the free melee disengage. But if you take monk 1 / rogue 3, you'd be able to get the Mobile feat at level 4 anyway. Anyway, there are not too many mechanical options for getting a monk in/out of melee at low levels. I think the...

EEPC Races and SCAG Deities Lists

It may be a bit of a reach, but I still believe some argument can be made as it is written. However, I understand that this is probably not their intent and I personally agree with your points. Anyway, I don't think any of the DMs that I've personally come across would ban your character for...

What is your favorite Race/Class Combo in AL and why?

One of my favorites has to be my Fighter / Sorcerer Dragonborn. He is a red Dragonborn with blue draconic sorcerer powers. He started with a level of fighter to give him access to heavy armor and defense fighting style. So he is a heavily armored sorcerer with a bunch of close range spells. I...

D&D 5E (2014) Which feat would you take

I am running a Paladin with Inspiring Leader right now and it's definitely saved some of the more squishy party members a few times. Plus you can always give yourself a few extra hit points too. I play with a big party, so I'm essentially giving out 56 or more HP every rest. Works wonders on...

D&D 5E (2014) Misty Stepping on my Dragon (critique my ruling)

I think you made the right calls initially. Honestly, a paladin (or barbarian) can feel pretty sub-par or even useless in ranged combat. And a flying creature pretty much guarantees ranged combat. Instead, you let him feel awesome and I bet he haa a much better time than he would have otherwise...
