    Spoilers Superman Spoiler Thread

If you were a normal human, or anything else conceivable by current science, you would be dead long before you got anywhere near the event horizon. But with comic book invulnerability, you don’t experience anything until someone rescues you or you find yourself in a new universe. No, it’s far...

    Why do the Actors Matter?

Oh, whilst this is a thread about acting, aging and Michael Douglas, You really all should go and watch The Kominsky Method right now if you haven't seen it.

    Why do the Actors Matter?

There are two types of acting, the type were the actor becomes the role, and the type were the actor makes the role become them. (Disclaimer: This is pretty much nonsense, but it sounds cool so I'll write it anyway)

    Spoilers Superman Spoiler Thread

From the point of view of the person trapped near the event horizon, time in the rest of the universe would accelerate, so, between one breath and the next, the Universe has ended (and you just missed breakfast at Milliways). It may be possible for the black hole to evaporate before that so...

    Why do the Actors Matter?

The thing about theatre is you can go and see a familiar play with a different cast - and it’s a completely different experience. And I’m pretty sure that in the alternate timeline in which RDJ was not cast as Iron Man the MCU does not exist.

Heroes of the Borderlands Starter Set Price Point Revealed

I think the cheep and nasty components in some recent boxed sets are likely to put new players off. Making it look shiny is a good strategy, and will probably appeal to a broader age range than grungy teens.

Heroes of the Borderlands Starter Set Price Point Revealed

This is pretty cheep. Gloomhaven costs three times as much.

    Spoilers Superman Spoiler Thread

I think the suggestion was a real dog could have been used for some shots, and replaced with cgi when necessary, as they do with the humans. But the fur is the issue, they still don’t have the technology to make a switch seamless. (Also see, Indiana Jones hair). Also, certain breeds of dog are...

Eberron: Forge of the Artificer Page Count, Contents Revealed

The important change was actually to Cure Wounds (and similar spells) which now work on constructs and undead, when they expressly did not in the 2014 rules.

Heroes of the Borderlands Starter Set Price Point Revealed

The price seams reasonable to me. The last couple of starter sets have been ridiculously cheep (with poor quality components to match). This is priced in line with the majority of modern boardgames (which it will sit along side on retail shelves), which should be fine for its target audience of...

Wizards of the Coast Reveals Revised Eberron Species Details

The main difference is in half elf + human, which as per lore would always produce human offspring, and half elf + elf, would always produce and elf. Thus, half elves were always rare (no quarter-elves) . On the other hand, khoravar + human = khoravar, khoravar + elf = khoravar. Your ancestry...

    Why do the Actors Matter?

Mr Douglas is pretty much retied from acting. Like many of us, his age has brought health issues, and it's not like he needs the money. And Hank Pym's role in the MCU is done. They don't need to recast because they don't need that character going forwards.

May well be a plot point in the Supergirl movie.

That's not unreasonable. His invincibility would protect him from spaghettification, radiation, etc, but unless he can fly faster than light he couldn't escape the event horizon stopping his personal clock (until the Black Hole evaporates).

    Spoilers Superman Spoiler Thread

I think it's pretty clear that Gunn is an animal lover. But I suspect the reason there are no non-cgi dogs in the movie is that cgi fur still does not look convincing when seen next to the real thing.

A Deep Dive in D&D: Dragon Delves

Why!? There is really nothing in the adventure that can’t be run with the 2014 rules plus free stuff. You are insisting that WotC demand people spend a ton of money buying the new rules, when it really isn’t necessary.

Supergirl is obviously for the upcoming movie, to give her a character arc, going from super-brat to hero.
