D&D General [rant]The conservatism of D&D fans is exhausting.

No, it's simulationist if the weather is outside of the player's control. Like it is in the real world. If the player narrates "just as I leave my house, it starts to rain", that's not simulationist, because the player is controling something they cannot, in the real world, control. If the DM...

D&D General [rant]The conservatism of D&D fans is exhausting.

I wasn’t there, but if the account is accurate, I would have to conclude that the DM was wrong. The player controls the actions of their character, that includes doing things that are stupid if they choose to. But whatever number rolled on the dice (possibly not including 1) you can succeed at with sufficient skill. DC 15? Roll a 2? A character with a skill of +15 succeeds anyway. To quote Gary Player: "The more I work and practice the luckier I seem to get".

Which Chips (or Fries) Are the Best?

Carbohydrates are nutrients. Damaged by expanding ice crystals. Plus a bunch of vitamins, such as C, are damaged through oxidation. There is nothing good about eating frozen food if fresh is available.

Which Chips (or Fries) Are the Best?

Not healthier - freezing destroys a lot of the nutritional value (just how much depends on how fast the freezing process was). Eating smaller quantities of fresh food is the way to go, especially if diabetic.

Which Chips (or Fries) Are the Best?

You are right, I was confusing carbs with fats. Carbs not really a problem unless you are diabetic or overweight.
