    Enchantment, Compulsion, "Ongoing control"

Not fair. I did specify. I ll' quote myself: This is how I justify the fact that all undead are immune to all mind-affecting effects. My point was that when a cleric commands/turns/rebukes an undead, he does not exercise "mental control" over the undead because Command Undead/Rebuke...

    Why we need new monsters

IMO, its always quality over quantity. Give a good DM a zombie and a skeleton and he can make miracles with just those two. Vampires? There were hundreds of vampire movies before Coppola's masterpiece came out, still everybody bowed before the 1992 Dracula. I think that being scared has less...

    Enchantment, Compulsion, "Ongoing control"

I think you are confusing mind/brain with intelligence. All undead are mindless in a cense that their brain does not work, even if they have one (a kind of rotten one actually :)). They might have lungs, a liver, a stomach, a brain... but none of them work/function, they just are. This is why...

    Enchantment, Compulsion, "Ongoing control"

Indeed, but the point remains that charms not only do they not grant control, but they also have no subcategories... whilst compulsions do (Vegepygmy has underlined those subcategories in his second post). So IMO, it is natural to assume that "ongoing control" is referring to compulsions ONLY...

How often do you fight (disagree, debate)?

So how often do you fight/have-heated-up-debates in your game group? Be that over rules, DM/Player choices, or any other subject that involves your game?

    Enchantment, Compulsion, "Ongoing control"

agreed. I don't see any vs there. They both say the same thing. All Enchantment-Charms + Enchantment-compulsions with "ongoing control" I agree with Vegepygmy again. Charms don't "control", they alter attitudes. SRD is pretty clear when it distinguishes charms from compulsions. Even if...

    Enchantment, Compulsion, "Ongoing control"

So the question is... Which spells (and effects) fall under the: Enchantment --> Compulsion --> "Ongoing Control" In the past, I had found an answer on this forum or another (don't remember... couldn't find it anyway...), that "Ongoing Control" meant all Compulsion effects with a duration...

What is fun about illusions? Fooling the players or the PCs?

Illusions are the epitome of creativity. They can really put your mind at work, and often help to make for very interesting encounters/situations. ...no matter who gets fooled (PCs, players... or even DMs!)

    Teleportation overcomes tripping?

hmm.. funny bit. I always played it as if the teleported one(s) could assume a position adequate for the new surroundings. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to teleport on a tree, a ladder... you would even stumble and risk to fall on a normal staircase. What if you ARE on a ladder and teleport...

    Earning Feats

I understood what you meant. The reason I asked for an example is because I can't think of a banking fraud that would unbalance the game. Most powerful feats need of other lesser feats, so I can't see this getting out of hand. ...OTOH i trust you, perhaps, have some deadly combos in mind.

    Earning Feats

The only relevant text i found, is in the DMG p197 "How PCs Improve". Not that it says anything about banking, but I personally find that it connects logically.

No rule that I know of. I would allow it. Can't see any harm in doing so.

    D&D 3.x Anybody still playing 3.0 (not 3.5?)

(Minor correction) No save in 3.5 either. IMO, 3.5 is simply better balanced. Other than that ...they are almost one and the same in respect to the munchkin-y aftertaste. If you want to feel the change, check out earlier versions or a different game.

Taking 20 in Use Rope - Bind a Character

Well played sir, I wasn't aware of that answer. As you said it, there is logic in there. On the other hand I find it also logical that one can test his bonds to see if they are well tied and try again in case they are not... if one has the time that is. For the record, my personal references...
