For me, it's more... "Why play human?" I can do that every day of my life. I do play humans here and there, but honestly it's usually because I've randomly selected the race and class than because I'm actively trying to play human.

We did the modified version of this where we just rolled stats until we hit on a set that was OK. Also 3d6, in order.

That was one of my favorite 3.5 era settings. My group did a mashup of it with a fantasy setting based on the mythology of the Indian subcontinent. We had a blast playing it.

Hi folks, I have a question for you. I've been asked to run my team at work through a short one-shot adventure. Are there any published one-shots that are short and doable within a 2 hour session?

My main resolution is to read and prep more... and do a bit less of winging it. There is a time and place for winging it, but I rely on it a bit too much. My players haven't noticed too much yet because they're all new. I just need to step up my game in general.
