Is there a way to know what printing of the books we have? I looked on the inside of my PHB and MM and they say something to the effect of "1st printing MONTH, YEAR" but I'm not sure if that means they are the 1st printing, or I am just not looking in the correct spot.

IMO collecting minis can get expensive. What I have done with my group is use the paper pawns from Pathfinder. They are much lower cost and do the trick. We had some players get a bit confused about who was who in a bigger fight, so I am thinking I will pick up the Icons of the Realms starter...

Some of the terminology seemed a bit "off" IMO, but still, it gives the game some exposre to people who may not otherwise be introduced to D&D. The fact that it was on a local news network adds some "legitimacy" to the report (in the viewer's minds) as well. Nothing wrong with that. :)
