All Change At WotC: New President Arrives From Microsoft As Greg Leeds Resigns

Several degrees in English and Communications makes it easy to parse corporate speech. But we'll find out sooner or later, I am sure, when he gives the inevitable interview. Nevertheless, I seem to be one of the few posters in the thread who actually sees his coming to WotC as a very good thing.

All Change At WotC: New President Arrives From Microsoft As Greg Leeds Resigns

What you quoted is open to interpretation. In fact, the portion you cut off actually makes it seem like he is a player of D&D branded video games, not necessarily tabletop games, which is why I asked. "A player with extensive digital experience" could just as easily mean he plays or played the...

All Change At WotC: New President Arrives From Microsoft As Greg Leeds Resigns

Played both? Either? In tabletop format? I didn't see that in the release. As for the rest of it, I am optimistic. Bringing in someone from Microsoft seems like a very good move. I look forward to see what new directions he takes the various WotC brands.

    D&D 5E (2014) One-shot kills

What a shame they didn't visit a potion seller and purchase his strongest potions . . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_FQU4KzN7A

    D&D 5E (2014) One-shot kills

It's true that the rate of death for PCs seems to be swinging back toward center if not further for 5E on the all-editions-pendulum. Not that you claimed this, of course, but I don't think the deaths in 5E tend to be capricious or unforeseeable, so perhaps we won't see quite as many hurt...

D&D 5E (2014) two things about D&D that could be more interesting

The following should be edited into your disclaimer. :)

[UPDATED] Green Ronin Finds Religion In D&D 5E's BOOK OF THE RIGHTEOUS

I think what Zaran means to say is that WotC was much more limiting in what they added to the OGC under the OGL by means of their newest SRD.

[UPDATED] Green Ronin Finds Religion In D&D 5E's BOOK OF THE RIGHTEOUS

Amazon, eBay, and any number of places have copies of it but reprinting the original should work too, if necessary. PDF is the best choice for most folks nowadays anyway. It's easier to have with you on a tablet or laptop, in your cloud for access anytime and anywhere, and for copying and...

[UPDATED] Green Ronin Finds Religion In D&D 5E's BOOK OF THE RIGHTEOUS

I meant it could be reprinted while others could grab the PDF. But, I'd be amazed if hundreds if not a thousand folks couldn't find a copy of the old one on the secondary market. It's all over the place.

[UPDATED] Green Ronin Finds Religion In D&D 5E's BOOK OF THE RIGHTEOUS

One of my top ten books from Era 3.XE/d20. I don't know that this needs to be redone nor that it is really possible. I'm fairly certain that buying the original would be useful enough for any 5E GM who wanted to expand their homebrew setting in religious ways.

So, that Walking Dead season finale [spoilers]

I agree. Fairly predictable until lately, though I didn't see it coming when Carol saved them from Terminus.

So, that Walking Dead season finale [spoilers]

Yup. True to the word cliffhanger, indeed. I haven't seen something that well played in a long time. Often that sort of thing is mostly predictable or hamfisttedly handled such that when you discover the truth, you find there was misinformation involved. This one was flat out a scene cut off...

This Weekend @ The BoxOffice: 2016_Apr.03

Oh, I think Alfred was purposefully written as comic relief for BvS. That wasn't just Irons take on the character but rather a scripted, sarcastic curmudgeon played well and directed well. Except for a bit of exposition, Alfred was all about that and probably because they knew it would be...

Saw BvS the following Tuesday and enjoyed it quite a bit. Almost stuck around for Risen but it would have been running too late.

Yup, given their track record, they're better off letting others invest the time and money.

D&D 5E (2014) Why Has D&D, and 5e in Particular, Gone Down the Road of Ubiquitous Magic?

Naw, not always but certainly in the last couple editions, and maybe in the waning years of 2E with the Skills & Powers and other books that were a precursor to 3.XE. Yup, that's the other extreme for D&D. Yup, you sure were then the old switcheroo was enacted. lowkey13 was ignoring that...
