1001 Spells (PFRPG) with free Hero Lab support!

I've already posted this on the Paizo product page discussion, but there appears to be a problem with the Hero Lab file. It causes Hero Lab to crash whenever you attempt to import it: EDIT: For everyone else thinking of purchasing this, I've only had a little bit of time to look over it but...

    Need some DM help.

I completely agree. I run my whole group's character sheets through Hero Lab. That leaves no questions about character legality. I like it when computers do the work for me and all my players like it too.

    Need some DM help.

Next time he casts the illegal magnetic spell, give him a 50% chance of being body checked by the target of the spell for 2d6 damage to both characters or something else arbitrary (in addition to severely damaging his casting hand for 1d4 days). If he does get body checked, there could be an...

D&D 4E Is Paizo ever going to shore up it's online support for Pathfinder like 4E does?

The Hero Lab editor definitely has a learning curve (which I'm still on). I would not call it user friendly, but it's doable.

D&D 4E Is Paizo ever going to shore up it's online support for Pathfinder like 4E does?

As others have said, Hero Lab works great for character creation and management. There's also Combat Manager, which makes setting up and running combat fairly simple. It's free and better (in my opinion) than Hero Lab's Tactical Console (which provides similar functionality).

    fast advancement in APs

If you do take out encounters, you may want to also just scrap XP altogether and figure out when characters need to level up regardless of how much XP they have. I think all the APs tell you what levels are appropriate.

    fast advancement in APs

The pre-Pathfinder APs (eg, Second Darkness which I'm running now) must be run on fast progression in order to work, so you may just want to go that route. Of course, you also have to do some minor tweaking to make them Pathfinder-compatible (Spot -> Perception, etc). You would definitely have...

How do you feel about the future of D&D after the official announcements?

Sure, "A WotC spokesperson answered, "The Forgotten Realms has a rich history and we will support all of it. It is for the gamers to decide which time they would enjoy playing in." That would allow Wizards to take advantage of a massive back catalog of products." EN World: Your Daily RPG...

How do you feel about the future of D&D after the official announcements?

I'm very optimistic, if only because it sounds like they'll support the classic Forgotten Realms setting, pre-Spell Plague). Killing the Forgotten Realms really turned me off and started me on the path to finding a completely new game. WoTC needs to bring back the Forgotten Realms and start...

4 Hours w/ RSD - Escapist Bonus Column

I joined this site just to reply to this article. I agree that the TRPG market is contracting and has been since at least the mid-late 90s. My first experience in RPGs was with AD&D when one of my friends and his older brother allowed me to sit in on one of their sessions and play a character...
