    D&D 5E (2014) Updated Xanathar Guide Info

On the product page: http://dnd.wizards.com/products/tabletop-games/rpg-products/xanathars-guide-everything "Over twenty-five new subclasses for the character classes in the Player’s Handbook, including the Cavalier for the fighter, the Circle of Dreams for the druid, the Horizon Walker for...

D&D 5E (2014) How viable is 5E to play at high levels?

I'm running a campaign for 17th level characters (have come all the way from first). It's a blast. Players are very much into their characters. And I haven't had any trouble keeping them challenged. They are plenty frightened by the situations they are in. I should note that I don't bother with...

    D&D 5E (2014) Xanathar hint from Crawford?

I wasn't suggesting they were collecting errata. I was suggesting they were collecting already printed subclasses. And it turns out they are including other subclasses. But I wrote the note in a hurry and can see why it wasn't clear. AD

    D&D 5E (2014) Xanathar hint from Crawford?

More info from Jeremy (and I'll do better this time and include the quote): https://twitter.com/JeremyECrawford/status/901170737905520640 "Four of SCAG's most popular subclasses appear in XGE. They're a good fit for the game as a whole, not just FR."

    D&D 5E (2014) Xanathar hint from Crawford?

Thought this was interesting: https://twitter.com/JeremyECrawford/status/901116846207713281 Suggests perhaps they are collecting some things together for each class? AD

    D&D 5E (2014) Roll20 vs Fantasy Grounds

It was this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DO5vG7TyLQ0 "Fog & Function" Advance Fog of War: one of our all time most requested features premieres, with subscribers able to use Roll20 Dynamic Lighting in the style of classic real-time strategy games. New Character Sheets: Dungeon World &...

    D&D 5E (2014) Roll20 vs Fantasy Grounds

As good a place to ask as any-- But over on the roll20 forums, one of the devs mentioned that tonight they'd be showing off some feature that was 'one of the most requested ever'. Anyone hear what that was? AD

D&D 5E (2014) Great Weapon Mastery - once more into the breach! (with math)

I'm going to hate myself for stepping into this-- But removing outliers needs to be justified. Selective removal of outliers is precisely the kind of manipulation that can lead to incorrect statistical representations. Yes, sometimes it is ok to remove outliers-- often there is technical and...

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

So somebody asked about this on their forums and got a response. Maybe it was you with different handle? http://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/d-d-beyond-feedback/3649-mega-thread-focused-feedback-character-builder?comment=2017 So it looks like you may get what you want. AD

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

True enough. I just meant feat and spell choices and such. But the more I think on it, you're probably right. For each class just optimize ability scores and have a list of 'forbidden feats' (i.e., a wizard won't take martial adept). For spells, I figure you just have to accept what you get. AD

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

Yeah, I'd like a 'constrained random' button as well. Might be worth dropping it as a feature request on their forums. Though I can see the programming logic getting complicated pretty fast if they are trying to optimize at all. AD

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

Yeah. Apparently, random really is random. I think I've seen mention of them making the 'random build' smarter. But I don't know where it is on their priority list. Quick build works great for 1st level characters though. AD

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

I'm eager for this as well, though my ambitions are more modest-- being able to export characters to roll20. They've said they are developing export to roll20 and FG. No idea where that fits in their timeline or how good the export will be. But that would a 'killer app' for me. AD

    D&D 5E (2014) DND Beyond Pricing announced.

They've pretty much indicated there will be an app (-- insert all caveats about buying software for future features here --). And it will be the app that gives offline functionality. But I agree with Nathan that the mobile web interface is good enough that I suspect the app interface will look...

Yes. It is apparently a very effective and well researched technique. It's annoying that it works. But, well, it does. https://www.livescience.com/33045-why-do-most-prices-end-in-99-cents-.html AD

They've written up the subscription descriptions in detail: http://www.dndbeyond.com/full-subscription-details-for-d-d-beyond Should clear up a lot of questions. D&D 5E (2014) DND Beyond Pricing announced.

So, from the developer: "The Legendary Bundle is not solely about book content purchases - locking in a forever 15% discount is a big part of the package." It doesn't directly say you don't have to 'keep up'. But I'm pretty sure that if that were the case, they'd have said so. Also, he did...

    D&D 5E (2014) DND Beyond Pricing announced.

I think it's exactly their intent. Advantage of buying the bundle early is that you lock in a 15% discount on all future sourcebooks. I've asked on the messageboard and received a response from another user (saying yes), but we'll see if actual Curse folks respond. They might not, as it seems...
