    Your ideal D&D movie/TV show?

I'd be happy as long as: 1) Rules references are not inserted into the dialogue ("Fighter, use your cleave on that goblin skirmisher!) 2) Its not about people transported from our world (aka the D&D Cartoon) 3) Its not about people transported from a D&D world into our world (aka Masters of the...

Which editions of D&D do you own the core books for?

All editions except LBBs and 4E Essentials. If anyone has a set of the LBBs they want to give away, let me know ;) BECMI/Mentzer is my all time favorite. :) -Havard

    Any Spelljammers out there?

I used to play quite a bit of Spelljammer D&D back in the good old days. It is an awesome setting. I have gotten alot of great ideas from the Spelljammer Community. I love that Planejamming was introduced in 4E as a kind of nod back to SJ, but the original spelljamming still had a lot more...

    Nentir Vale Web Resources?

Sparked by a discussion on the new Nentir Vale forum at the Piazza, I have begun doing more research on the Nentir Vale and the rest of the assumed Points of Light "setting". Can someone recommend some good websites for information about the place? -Havard

    Burning wheel for dark fantasy

Yeah, IIRC that is pretty much the same system. I think those are very much hit or miss systems. Personally I would prefer any other D6 variant, like MiniSix. Or in the case of Dark Fantasy, perhaps WHFRP 2nd Ed. -Havard

    I don't want 5E, I want a definitive D&D (the Monopoly model)

D&D is Monopoly and thank god for that. I think WotC should make new editions that even though they may be different would allow them to produce supplements, adventures etc that could be useful for those who decide to stick with older editions. I keep buying OOP 2e and 3E material because it...

Skein Of Destiny - Tekumel News (August 2011)

Great hearing about this! I have been looking into connections between Tekumel and Blackmoor myself, since the creators of each setting were friends. We have some very hard core Tekumel folks at the Comeback Inn forum (link in signature) who will be very interested in this :) Thanks again! -Havard

    Is D&D "about" combat?

I would go as far as to say that a group that played combat only do not play D&D. They only play an aspect of the game. An important aspect, to be sure, but not the whole game. The OP's quote from Slaviczek was a bold statement, probably suggesting where he wanted to take D&D, but I am not sure...
