Acquiring books (but not reading them)?

I can perhaps understand if you do that as a book collector, but if that's not the case, I suggest you make a committment not to buy books that you don't read. If you want to buy a new one and you still have one that you never read on your shelf, you can still buy the new one under strict...

Rolling Hit and Damage dice together.

When I roll "hit dice" I roll 2d6 and not d20, for example. If you don't specify what ruleset you are following, it is impossible understanding what you mean.

Rolling Hit and Damage dice together.

I can't understand the context. Are you referring to a specific ruleset?

    Requesting idea: Magic Masks

There is an Arion Games book called Heroes Companion (http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/176998/AFF-Heroes-Companion?src=hottest_filtered) that includes a section about mask magic, i.e. a magic style where you use various different masks as a prop to cast spells. IfI were you I'd give it a look.

EN World New GMs, players, read the first post in this thread! (updated 5/21)

I changed the title to Blackmoor Living World, following up how the game was evolving, with more characters jumping from group to group during their adventures and more need too keep an eye on the calendar. This could be a good time to join and, of course, the more the merrier!

    The Sandbox and the Railroad

My problem is that in very open situations quite often they just stop and wait, expecting somebody else to take the initiative.

    The Sandbox and the Railroad

I think it also depends on the players' education and on "fashion", that is something that changes in time. For example, I noticed that when I reach a point in the adventure where the possible ways forward are huge and open to unexpected ideas ("you reach a city where someone is hidden and you...

What is your reaction to the Ravnica news?

Well... there are old settings with quite a lot of technomagic as well (Blackmoor, for example...)

What is your reaction to the Ravnica news?

I've been expecting similar news since the WotC took over TSR, so this is not unexpected for me. I am rather surprised they didn't propose a M:tG setting in D&D before. Who knows why did they wait for so long... We also have to consider that, looking at the number of M:tG players, there is a...

    Time Travel in yourgame?

I think that, while for sure a complex issue, time travelling can be limited in scope by the technology required and by its availability. For example, Falcon gamebooks (https://gamebooks.org/Series/146) allow time travelling, but there are only a few times and places in the universe where you...

    Time Travel in yourgame?

In general I avoid time travelling, as I'm not very confident I can manage everything in style, but there are a few super-classic modules, like the DA series and Where Chaos Reigns that are a great support for running a long adventure with timetravelling in it.
