    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 MM - Winners and Losers

I would consider the Pit Fiend largely a winner. Higher AC and HP, added legendary resistance, and the spellcasting action looks pretty good. Two major problems i have with it are 1. The lack of detect magic 2. The mace dealing force instead of bludgeoning (this is more a problem with 24 as a...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

I like both of these depictions personally. I think that chaotic entities like demons should have a variety in their form, even if they have the same general appearance

Found largely around the Vesperpool, usually in groups of ten or twenty. This four-legged aquatic organism lurks beneath the surface, then uses its sturdy jaw to clamp down on prey that ventures near the water's edge before dragging its catch back into the depths to devour it. Sahagin Large...

A diminutive daemon that holds deep-seated grudges under its hood. It relies on its small stature, sluggish movements, and rounded features to lull victims into a false sense of security before striking swiftly and suddenly, plunging its knife in for the kill. Sir Tonberry Small Abberation...

    D&D 5E (2014) Final Fantasy XV for D&D

This scaled monster evolved from a tiny avian reptile on the Rock of Ravatogh. Its scales are thick enough to withstand intense heat and aridity. Although its wings cannot create enough propulsion to allow for flight, the wyvern can still glide through the air and dive down to snatch up prey...

    D&D 5E (2014) Final Fantasy XV for D&D

A wide-jawed beast that literally fumes with rage when angered. Little beyond that which is apparently observable is known about this curious species. The majority of specimens have been spotted in Cleigne with occasional sightings in Leide. Bandersnatch Gargantuan Beast, Unaligned Armor Class...

The fully matured form of mandrakes, assumed over long years. It possesses a decentralized nervous system, yet is capable of complex responses to stimuli—not unlike an animal. This organism has outgrown its ability to acquire adequate nutrition, and gradually succumbs to the still rot of death...

D&D General Pitch a High Level (5.14/5.24) campaign concept

Its not fully fleshed out, but an idea that has been in my head since i reread Tome of Beasts 3 Another party of high-level adventurers slayed a Godslayer (pg. 212), unfortunately this has led to most of this party to be dead/incapacitated, an eruption which shattered the battlefield, and the...

    D&D 5E (2014) Final Fantasy XV for D&D

A carnivorous plant that resists taking root in one place. While technically classified as vegetation, the mandrake behaves much as a beast, hunting and killing for sustenance. Its sonic emissions can play tricks on the ears of trespassers, but they cause no harm to the florae of the forest...

    D&D 5E (2014) Final Fantasy XV for D&D

I’ve added some optional rules for a campaign to help make it feel more like the game. First is Endless Night, which is more of a state of the world, and then Haven Leveling, so that leveling up feels more like the video game.

D&D 5E (2014) Spellcasting Monsters, Spell Slotlessness, Bonus Actions, and Intent

Seems like another disconnect between RAW and RAI. RAI, I would assume NPCs are supposed to run like PCs, and only can cast either using their action or bonus action, but other monsters can cast spells using both.

    Dice etiquette, rules, and superstitions

    1. You have to reroll on the table, GM included. 2. If readable, cat roll is kept. If not, reroll. Either way, the feline is taken off the table, and put away if persistent 3. Dogs are not allowed in the room during the session. 4. Dice trays preferred as well as dice cups, which is why i...
