It is hard to get a spot at Gen Con, but they now also run at Origins, Gamehole Con, and Pax South. We had open spots at Origins every day except maybe Saturday (but even Saturday you could probably find a single open slot, just not a spot for a group).

Don't forget True Dungeon! (Disclaimer: I volunteered with them for the first time and had a blast) There were a lot of die hard TD fans at Origins and TD took up all of Hall D.

I use the ArcKnight spell effects in my 5e games and highly recommend them. $30 is an awesome deal.

Do you have a picture of the Tallyho Games Starship Troopers ad? I have my Avalon Hill Starship Troopers, but wasn't aware there was another game out there.

We have been doing the same with our troop for about three years now. Always interesting to see what the boys come up with. Gaming and boy scouts go way back. My friends and I used to play D&D in our tents during campouts in the late 70's/early 80's.

TSR was just poorly managed. At first, you had gamers who knew very little about business. Then, you had business people who knew very little about gaming. Neither worked well.

The Wardling miniatures are awesome. Granted, they aren't your typical fantasy miniatures, but that is what makes them interesting. I have an armored corgi that always gets attention when I pull it out at a table.
