I really can't tell if this is serious or not. The idea of checking a dozen or so variables, on top of everything else going on, seems agonizing. We let the player pick for the same reason don't we check to see if the moons are in alignment or our distance from a ley line to cast a spell...

I use point buy but let you add 1 to your highest or 2 to another stat. Helps with the MAD. The problem with the monk can't be solved by rolling well on stats. It's a fundamental design issue.

That would be nice. Pathfinder 2E's Mountain Stance gives +4 AC among other benefits, but you don't apply your Dex to AC. A friend was playing a stronk (str monk) in our game for a while. Basically the big tough guy like Bolo Yeung. It's a shame WOTC is missing such a MA/anime archetype.

I do like the idea that alignment is something that requires an actual effort to align yourself with cosmic forces.

So much this. It's like all they do is run prison break scenarios. Same with the bladelock being able to conjure a weapon. Having equipment is the default assumption, being able to operate fully in th rare situations when it isnt is not a meaningful ability!

The champion should exist, just not as a fighter. Stop forcing the fighter to be the noob class, and stop forcing noobs to be fighters. There should be 4 flavors of noob class for new players, drunk old slobs, and people who don't care about learning the rules: Mage, Priest, Warrior and Expert...

Fantastical vs magical is just splitting hairs in 5E. 3E had magic, supernatural, extraordinary, etc, but 5E doesnt. It has magic and a couch potato's idea of what a guy at gym can do.

That's a mild benefit for a few levels that then fades to no benefit at all. I don't see why they just cant add Proficiency or Wisdom modifier to Di and call it a day.

Agrede. Too much of their power budget is spent on a ribbon ability of "function with no gear". Achieving baseline without equipment isnt a perk, it's a flavor ability. It should be valued about as much as Thieves Cant.

I'd like some kind of refocus action, where you regain a certain number of ki points and take a dodge or disengage action. Lets them refill the tank mid-fight. Perhaps regain points equal to your proficiency bonus?

The feature is saving the few gold from buying a d6 weapon like everyone else already has. They only get 2 attacks without spending Di for flurry because dual wielding is a bonus action, same as the extra martial arts attack. Anyone can dual wield, you don't get your dex mod to your offhand...

Not really, it's the bare minimum to function. Bringing you to the baseline of "having equipment" isn't a meaningful class feature. The once time every other campaign where the pc's are captured and the monk gets gear while everyone else doesn't is a super niche ribbon less valuable than thieves...
