If you can't reference it off-hand then don't let him use it. You have to know what your player has and can do at any moment. Not knowing means he could just be doing whatever. I like the Tome of Battle book, it makes melee less terrible.

UN Acquirable templates even if you want to go with something out there. The gods or demons could bestow a template like half-celestial half-fiend. That would give him a lot of power though and might alienate the other players...then again Wizard.

Cure potions harm undead and are probably the MOST common potions in existence... So why not have a potion of fireball, it could also be force fed to an enemy if they are sleeping and you are sneaky enough.

I personally would like the end of that campaign. You fought heroically, you fought insane odds, and at some points you finally came out on top. Until you didn't and died. It reflects real life where heroes die.

Personally, since my druid is an elemental her lifespan is forever...sooo. She is more permanent than anything in nature.

on the charging in a crowd thing...Acrobatic charge from the swashbuckler can do it. Tables chairs skinny doorways, leaping off cliffs while charging, All of those are waaaaay harder than bowling people aside and diving on him assassin's creed style.

It has a large learning curve, one so steep that most players will never truly be good at it in the end. Once you get competent at least you start to realize how much fun you have when other players actually try to play as a team rather than a one man show. The Game is amazing, the community....
