So Androsphinx is now known as the Sphinx of Valor, and Gynosphinx is now the Sphinx of Lore. That's interesting.

I assume part of the reason for not as much new stuff for the Giant monster category is due to the fact we recently got a book all about Giants. It's probably the same reasoning for the Dragon monster category not getting anything new either outside of some revamping of the Dragon stat blocks...

I had always assumed that the damage type for the sneak attack would be the same type as the weapon used. I know the updated 2024 Rogue states that the above is the case, but the 2014 version doesn't state it out right.

That Aboleth art is wicked, they are some of the only aberrations that I really like to use (so much so that I have created Celestial and Elemental variants of them for my campaign world) so I'm happy to see that the art for them is still so good. I would like to see more art for them later on...

My two favorite pieces of Thri-kreen art come from 4e and 5e. 4e, from the Dark Sun Campaign Guide I beleive. And from the 5e Monster Manual. I don't know why, but I have always stylized my Thri-Kreen as more ant-like then Mantis like so these two art pieces really capture that well.
